Old school restaurant with a huge dining area and low lighting. This restaurant offers huge portions of tasty, authentic southern dishes. Restaurant does not accept reservations, so sign in and enjoy a drink at the bar. Great house specialty drinks with generous pours. We had Pot Roast, Roasted Turkey Breast, Liver and Onions and Pork Chops with half a dozen sides. All delicious. Our bill included 5 drinks. Drinks are around great at $10 a piece.

I understand why it has been in business for so long. Homey and inviting, comfort food and old favorites, friendly service. I had a pomegranate martini and fried chicken with spinache and mac & cheese. Crispy chicken and there were four pieces!!! The spinach and the mac & cheese were tasty. They were decorated for the holidays and it was cozy and lively. Everyone was having a nice meal and it was just a pleasant experience.

fun, old-timey restaurant that desperately needs a face lift but please don’t ever change! server was especially sweet and helpful. all requests were granted within moments…none of that nonsense waiting for ketchup while the onion rings get cold. the yeast rolls and butter are a great start to the meal. my fried catfish was spot on and the portion was huge. against all
odds, managed to consume all
of it which was a feat. onion rings were above average. whipped potatoes were also a cut above although i’ve had better a handful of times. super satisfying meal at a price point which seems like a quaint relic from decades ago.

Me and my wife enjoyed dinner at this restaurant this past Sunday. All I can say is while we were waiting on our food there was a group of ladies singing beautifully in the waiting area so I knew it would be a great meal. I had the fried Chicken and she had Roasted turkey and dressing and the food was amazing. We had fried green tomatoes and Brunswick St w as appetizer and both those items were fantastic as well. Our server was fantastic and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. If I could give this place 10 stars I would.

We came here for my son’s third birthday dinner. We were hesitant at first to be honest because there were no other kids there and the hostess didn’t seem especially thrilled to see us. Once we were sat, our waitress Christina treated us like royalty and another waiter even drew my son a picture of his favorite animal in honor of his birthday. The food was delicious and them getting the entire restaurant to sing happy birthday took it to the next level. We will certainly try to come here again if we are ever back in ATL.

Three metrics to a successful restaurant: hot, tasty food, good customer service and good value for portion sizes. This restaurant achieved all three. Pork chops, fried chicken, turnip greens, black eyed peas, wedge salad, fried green tomatoes were all delicious.

This was a very pleasant experience. We started off with the calamari which gave a nice large amount and was delicious! The cornbread was good and the rolls were to die for, we had to ask for more to go. I got the salmon croquettes, black eyed peas and collard greens. The greens were nice and savory, the black eye peas were good too. One of our party members spinach had too much garlic but that is our only small complaint.

The Colonnade is one of Atlanta’s oldest restaurants, and even from walking up to the building from the parking lot, it exudes history and character.

Right inside there’s an a wall of the restaurant’s changes and accolades over the years. You can see menus dating back to like the 1930s, movie posters of different ones that have been filmed there and more. It’s super cool.

I think this place stays pretty busy, especially for dinner. If your party ends up having to wait, they have an extra room to the right side that has a bar where you can order a drink while you wait. But the bartender don’t mess around- if you don’t know what you want, she’ll move on to the next guest that does.

We were blown away by how good the prime rib was. One of the best cuts of meat most of us had had- and even my family from Wyoming that live on a ranch and raise their own delicious beef agreed. That’s a high compliment.

I tried the stuffed salmon off of the specials menu and it was okay- needed a little more seasoning but I still enjoyed it. Every guest also gets 2 pieces of bread while waiting for the entrees. Honestly I wasn’t impressed with a majority of the food, except for that dang prime rib.

We had a great waitress as well who made the experience that much better. It’s definitely an expensive meal but it’s a nicer restaurant in my opinion not a casual place so you can’t expect to pay casual prices. I will definitely be back to try the prime rib again and make sure it really was that good because it was almost unbelievable.

The food did not live up to the standard all other reviews have stated. The okra was not fresh and had been sitting out as it was soft/chewy and not fried. The Mac and cheese also cold. Food not seasoned whatsoever.

I think Alex is the best waiter I’ve ever had, really exceptional service. I’ve lived in Atlanta & metro Atlanta since ‘74, and today was my first time eating at the Colonnade. I had the “Grandma’s chicken” special, a fried chicken breast stuffed with spinach and cheese. We went with our neighbors and everyone agreed that the food was wonderful. We finished with a dessert and 4 spoons. The atmosphere is great. I’m putting the Colonnade next to the Tara Theater in my list of “Atlanta Legends”. I can’t wait to discover more of these now that my wife and I are retired.
