6 solid food. Natty skillet was interesting and new. Egg handwich was solid and nice jam to add some interesting sweetness. French omelette was soft and good. Tropical fruit plate is a great idea. Solid brunch with a variety of good options including some healthy but not worth going out of the way

Fantastic food, great servers, everything was just soo good. I’d love to go again and try other things on the menu.
Had the Omelet special with lamb, delish! Egg cooked to perfection, not your hard dry omelet.
Our coffee and water were always filled.
Not your standard breakfast joint… breakfast elevated, so good.

Got the koko moco and the cornflake French toast. While I appreciate the obvious effort into creating unique flavors, the koko moco kind of fell flat for me. The tempura kimchi was crispy and flavorful, but unfortunately the beef patty was not seasoned and tasted very plain. The cornflake French toast was much better imo but pretty expensive, yet worth it for a one and done

Plenty of inexpensive parking ($0.75)

My FAVORITE bowl of ramen in the world! ❤️ Koko Head is the best breakfast on O’ahu for sure!
The hot sauces are incredible and the service is impeccable. (Shout-out to Vitalia!)
The fish and eggs were onolicious, too!

Chef Lee Anne Wong brings magic to every dish, each brings a unique blend of ingredients and delights!

Had the Natty Skillet with crispy ocean rice, fried poki, choi sum, soft scrambled egg and special house pickle trio and the Papa Aina Ramen with Portuguese Sausage, ham, bacon, cheese scallion, nori and a poached egg. We were raving about the dishes so much that forgot to take a photo of the ramen until we were half way through.

Fun vibe, the kitchen staff rings a bell whenever they receive a special kitchen tip!

Chef Wong also has special dinners which are a treat.

Reservations are highly recommended.

There is outdoor seating on the lanai

Had a great meal at Koko head cafe. Enjoyed a nice dish of Koko moco. Absolutely delicious. The meal came in a small cast iron skillet. The rice was crispy on the bottom. Burger was cooked to perfection. I had my eggs scrambled. Gravy was to die for.

Glad we found Koko Head Cafe a wonderful place for breakfast or brunch

I had a delicious breakfast here. My daughter got the fish and eggs which today was a Marlin and it was very nice. I went with the luau mega hash special and it was awesome, loved it. Also the vanilla biscuits and the breakfast bruschetta suuuuuuper good, highly recommend.

Great little restaurant serving up unique dishes. Service was great, prices are a little steep but not out of the norm for Hawaii. It’s not easy to walk to from Waikiki but if you’re looking for what seems to be a popular local restaurant, this is the place. Recommend reservations especially for dinner.

5% kitchen service fee included in your bill. The bottom of your bill indicates: “There is a 5% kitchen service charge added to every check. It is an optional gratuity that is divided equally between all of our kitchen employees. This service fee provides our team an additional incentive on top of their wages. The purpose is to help us hire and retain quality kitchen staff with a dedication to providing our guests with the best possible experience.”. There is only bad logic here. If the restaurant needs to pay the kitchen staff more, RAISE YOUR MENU PRICES. Clearly your core operational costs are higher than your high menu prices will cover and require a tax subsidy. The food is good. The “new” space is much improved from the old small restaurant around the corner, but it lost some of its quaintness. But a worthy improvement for improved wait times.

Unfortunately the experience here left more to be desired. We had been seated at the bar with the bar tender as our server. This ordinarily wouldn’t be a problem but they sat some of their usual customers next to us with their dog. I love animals but I don’t like them being inside making a fuss while I’m eating. It’s unsanitary and unnecessary when they have patio dining.
We had been sitting there for a bit waiting and instead of addressing us first the bar tender started up a conversation & took their drink and food orders before bothering to check in with us.

During our wait they apparently have a very obnoxious tradition of adding money to a jar and shouting “adding to the beer fund” where all of the cooks and servers in the back start yelling and shouting. Not something I would expect at a breakfast spot and it definitely left a sour impression when they had to do it a second time just to get a video and were even more obnoxious.

While the food is plated very well it’s honestly nothing to write home about. The flavor profile is lackluster & the portion size to pricing needs improvement. I get more of both for less money at other breakfast spots like Moena or island brew in Hawaii Kai.

Not sure I will bother wasting my money here again to give it a second chance.
