The only downside was the ribs — they looked great but were a bit disappointing in flavor and tenderness compared to the rest of the meal. However, everything else was well-prepared, and the atmosphere more than made up for it.
Overall, a great place to relax, enjoy good service, and take in the river view. I’d definitely come back, maybe just try a different entrée next time.
Our server, Nancy was outstanding. The food was DELICIOUS !!! From the appetizer to the salad and main courses.
The prime rib steak was superb. The Blackened Salmon was cooked to perfection.
One of the best cooked salmon I have ever had. Their baked potato was scrumptious .
Carson’s Rocked!
We both ordered the BBQ marriage for $37, and let me tell you, the portions are not playing around. You definitely get a solid amount of food for the price. The only downside for me was the BBQ itself which is kind of the point of this place. I was hoping for a bit more flavor in the seasoning and sauce. I was expecting more tender ribs as well. It was just a bit too tough for my liking. To be fair, I’m a little biased because my dad’s BBQ has set the bar way too high (his ribs are unbeatable).
On the bright side, that salt-and-pepper-encrusted baked potato was fantastic I’d definitely recommend that side!
The downside was the service from our server. He didn’t offer any recommendations, showed no empathy toward the table, and never came by to check if we needed anything else. His interaction was limited to taking the order, bringing the food, bringing the check, and passing by three times to see if we were ready to pay. I think they should pay much more attention to customer service, as it would make the experience much more complete
All the food was delicious. The BBQ sauce is sweet and has a nice kick to it. The coleslaw is delicious, it remind me of KFC’s but on steroids. The slab of ribs & pork chop juicy …cooked to perfection. Portions sizes were good. We didn’t even finish it all. The “Happy Birthday” menus was a nice touch…they also hit the wife with a birthday dessert. Last but not least…the service was A1! Shout-out to our server Blake! He was cool as hell and very attentive, made our first time dining here real special. Ask for him…you can’t miss him, he’s like 8 ft tall. All in all loved Carson’s and will be returning; eager to try more menu items.
PS. My big back ass ordered a second cornbread. #NoShame
