Placed the order for our food and had to wait a very long time for it. No explanation on what the hold up was. Another customer had also passed by, commenting “good luck on getting your food”. After we ate, we wanted some frappes for the road. We placed our order then watched as 4 employees did NOT make the frappes. They were not super busy, or even busy. One lady was making food, one young man stood looking at us, another young lady was looking at the upcoming tickets, the court was putting orders together. It took 8 minutes to get 2 small frappes and an ice cream cone. We were not greeted, nor thanked. The trash can was over flowing. I will be making a point to not stop at this McDonald’s on future travels.

This location of McDonald’s really wasn’t that busy. They had plenty of opportunity to maintain a better cleanliness. There were quite a lot of flies buzzing around the dining area tables weren’t wiped down, and garbage was still left at tables/boothes. A man from the backline was shout out peverted comments relating to the food as if everyone thought the peverse double entendre. The front line individuals were rotating touching consumables, money, their faces, their phones without ever once washing their hands or wearing gloves. I know this is McDonald’s, but does it have to be like this?

This location is notoriously slow so I expected that but delay wasn’t so bad tonight. Stopped late evening (no rush) for ice cream. Dining area didn’t appear to be very clean and felt sticky but maybe that’s because the AC wasn’t working. Very uncomfortable. Ice cream melted so fast we had to drink it to finish. Staff wasn’t unkind but certainly not excited to be there. Not sure staff knew how to use or had a broom. Food prep area behind the counter looked like it hadn’t been swept in a week. Trash, food spills, etc. littered the entire area. Food was as expected so that was okay.

Don’t try and eat here. I rarely get any food going through the drive thru because they leave you sitting. Just waited 13 minutes, got no response from anyone and drove to Newton to get breakfast. This isn’t the first time I’ve had this problem. And they weren’t even busy. When I do get food the fries are usually cold. They should fire the manager.

For some reason without any line we were asked to wait to order for over 10 minutes and then proceeded to wait even longer to get our order. When I pulled up I noticed there was 1 person in front of me and they had ordered 1 happy meal.
Drive Through although fairly busy was still fast and the employees were courteous and got my order right the first time.

I live here in town so I frequent this location. Pre-Covid this location was already slow compared to others but in the last few years it has gotten unbearably slow no matter the time of day. Today for lunch (11:40AM) I pulled up to no cars at the windows and 3 cars ahead of me in line at the drive through. After 18 minutes I was finally able to place my order. In that time a few cars pulled up behind me and left after a few minutes of waiting, another couple cars left the line and went inside to order because it took so long. After ordering I sat at the window for another 6 minutes before I was able to pay and be handed my food. Total of 24 minutes waiting in the drive through and I was the 4th vehicle in line.. Granted they had a few people ordering inside during this time, that is just unacceptably slow for a McDonalds. Food was just as good as it is at any location.
From what I could tell there was probably only 2 employees working. One employee was running the counter and drive through (this appeared to be the manager) and I assume they had a cook in back. The person who took my order and dealt with at the window (assuming manager) I could tell was frustrated/stressed but she was still professional and provided great customer service despite the day she was obviously having. I don’t know what exactly is going on at this location but I’m sure its partially a lack of staff so they really need to do something to get more employees in there like raising the base pay or just shut this location down all together. Unfortunately over the last few years this has been the standard experience I get at this location and it’s steadily getting worse. It’s getting the point that if you aren’t one of only a few people there, it is just as fast or even faster to drive to the Newton McDonalds (much faster service there) and back than it is to wait here in Colfax.
