Personally I also enjoyed the atmosphere. I like theme restaurants so I liked the decor and I liked that it was pretty casual.
This was the location of our first dinner in our Nova Scotia trip. And what a way to start. Great food, great taste, great atmosphere and great service.
Seafood was fresh and the oysters really hit the spot. The lobster poutine was awesome too. Quite a bit of lobster and the creamy sauce went so well coating everything and the fries. Salmon was perfectly cooked. Moist tender and flaked nicely.
Service was top notch. Took care of us from our first step in until the very end. We had a birthday celebration as well and this spot definitely made it memorable.
Parking isn’t very easy here. There is a parking lot across the street and some type of parking right beside the restaurant, both seem to be paid parking. The lots can get full and maneuvering is ok but parking spots and the roadway seems to be tighter. So will have to keep that in mind.
Great job overall
They also have a good variety of options on their menu, but being on the east coast meant choosing all their seafood options.
We of course had to get their oysters & the server was knowledgeable on the different oysters given.
We also ordered the lobster poutine which was a 9/10. It was very good but not as much lobster in it as I thought.
The fish & chips was a massive portion and the fish was so fresh! The batter was light & didn’t drown out the fish itself.
Everything came in generous portions, which made it great for sharing. The service was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. Sitting by the water added to the experience, and it was just a really enjoyable meal overall.
If you’re visiting Halifax and want good seafood in a relaxed spot, this is a solid choice. I’d definitely come back.
We were visiting Halifax for a conference and a group of us decided to head over for some dinner.
There was a very small issue with one of our meals. Sophia was very helpful and apologetic. Krista was brought alerted and she came to our table immediately to tend to our friend. They were the BEST and I would highly recommend anyone to come the restaurant.
