Surprised to learn the closer you table is to the window the more you are charged for the table.
Food is (probably) legit, but the service struggles to bring it out whilst still hot.
Could be a cool place- this is my third trip here and my last to entertain guests at.
We booked in advance, but one thing to note: the reservation deposit includes a VIP cable car ticket, which wasn’t mentioned when booking. We had already bought our tickets separately and only found out a few hours before, so this was frustrating. There’s also a dress code, which fits the atmosphere.
Once up the mountain, everything else was perfect. We arrived an hour early and enjoyed cocktails – my lychee martini and my partner’s mojito were both excellent. The service was warm and attentive throughout the night.
For starters, I ordered mussels but was served mushrooms, we did not correct this. Fortunately, they were delicious. My partner had chicken hearts, cooked beautifully. For mains, he had the chef-recommended chicken fettuccine, and I had steak and lobster – absolutely outstanding.
A live pianist played throughout the evening, adding to the romantic atmosphere. Despite the initial issues with the cable car information and the incorrect starter, the staff made the night feel special.
In total, we spent around £140 for two starters, two mains, multiple cocktails and drinks – great value for such an unforgettable experience.
A romantic, memorable evening with breathtaking views, gorgeous food, and a magical cable car ride back down the mountain. I would definitely return.
We asked to speak to the manager, and he didn’t show us any kindness or empathy! Honestly, I wouldn’t return to this place, nor would I recommend it, because of the staff at the door.
Everything designed and prepared carefully, outstanding service and unique atmosphere.
I thought the food was good, but not really. I ordered the lamb and it was like boiled and served over polenta which took all the sauce away. We also got the beef ribs and it was only one rib that was hard. The potatoes were not fully cooked and when we sent them back we got a cesar salad and they even didn’t chop the lettuce, but it had the stem. They don’t have any sodas or rum, so you are pretty much forced into ordering wine. This was a pretty expensive and not very good experience.
We had 3 appetizers, 2 entrees, the table side dessert (I do recommend), and an entree to go. Basically our entire diet that day was San Isidro.
I cannot recommend enough the three cheese mushrooms and the french onion soup. The salmon with red fruit salsa and chicken fettuccine were great. I say this knowing how typical chicken fettucine is, but in a restaurant like this they really step it up.
I don’t recommend the mediterannean salad nor the 6 type of fish fettucine.
The 80k for the view is 100% worth it. You, your family, and your partner will not forget such a unique experience any time soon.
I imagine any bad review here is bitter people who couldn’t safely afford to eat at such a luxurious restaurant.
