Done with New Lenox Portillo’s. Most expensive and worst quality hot dog around. $20 for 2 hot dogs and fries and this is what you get. Fourth time I’ve brought home food from this location and been very disappointed, finally had to post it.

Everytime we go to the New Lenox location our order is somehow missing items, First of all the order takers, Take the order and repeat it back to insure the order is correct, Then we wait in line up to 15 minutes or longer depending on how busy ther are, which in yesterdays case they were not busy at the time we were there at 12:16pm. Then when we get to the window the expidator at the window reads back our drinks whic was correct, then the cashier says the order to the expidator on what is supposed to be in the bags, the expidator then reads back the order to us and hands us the bags and off we go asumming the order is correct with all the checks in place. In this case we were shorted the Bacon Cheese Burger.
This is not the first time that my order was short items, why does this happen with so many checks for correctness, we live over 5 miles away and pass alot of restaurants to go to Portillo’s. I am not driving back after we get home because we were short items. Give me a reason why we should continue to spend our money at Portillo’s?

If you’re dead set on portillos, just drive to the one in Tinley, don’t waste your time with this one. The cheese on my sandwich was completely unmelted, and I paid extra for a cup of gravy and they filled it less than 1/4 of the way. Honestly, the Buona in Frankfort has better food and service.
Update: went back for more, as I just had oral surgery and need my bread very soft, and they proceeded to give me two more containers that are even worse. One had less than a tablespoon of liquid in it. All three of them mixed together doesn’t even fill the one container all the way

Order accuracy? Will be different every time! Last time, great service and great quality of accurate orders! This time, not so much. First of all, I was super excited for the salted caramel shake! Had it last week and it was amazing! Was extremely disappointed to learn that they gave me the spice cake version (when I didn’t order it)! SO GROSS! I was already half way home when I realized it and wasn’t about to turn around! Fries were soggy and cold! Don’t look fresh! Hot dog was a soggy bun that turned into nothing. I took it off and ate the hot dog by itself. Disappointing order today! It was my cheat day and I was excited for good quality food but got the opposite for almost $30!

This location in particular is roughly going to be 60% accurate with your order. The only reason I order from here every once in a while is because its close and the food is good(what they get right of it). For instance tonight I ordered a big beef dry and a regular coke. I got a sandwich that was so wet it got my car seat wet through the bag, and a flat diet coke, because I apparently didn’t roll well on the Portillos RNG.

Let me just start off saying I’m used to portillos in the Chicago land area. Not what so ever does this portillos even compare. As soon as I began to order the cashier just had no character, seemed very mad at the world. Tone of voice, eye contact and even the toss of my change back to me.
Then I proceeded to go and use the restroom, I over heard a young lady very upset. As she came out of the stall eyes balling I had no choice but to ask her what was wrong. Let’s just say the management brings such stress to there young employees here at this establishment. I doubt they are working on that due to the story’s I heard.
I got my food finally which seemed a while wait, over 15minutes for sure. Cold after that I just expected and off the bat I knew my experience wasn’t going to be a good one.
I hope this establishment, establishes itself a bit better at the future moves forward.

If I had one complaint it would be this place is too darn busy, especially the drive thru, forget it. Other than that, what’s not to like about this place. The burger are fantastic never mind the hot dogs, best in the country! I used to love their garbage salad, would get one almost every day. When they stopped making them, I stopped going. I was disappointed to say the least. The cakes are great, so are the shakes. Salads are all good as well but I no longer eat them after they discontinued the garbage salad. I don’t eat beef sandwiches but I’ve heard these are great too. Fries are decent. This location is very clean as are the washrooms. Great staff, nothing but good things coming here.

It was good looking, but they take so long to push your order out that it gets cold before consuming it.
Burger would taste like a 5star burger if served hot
Prices continue to rise since Dick sold the company, the change in staff has also led to quality dipping dramatically.
Atmosphere is a sped up version of Bennigans from back in the day.
Staff is slightly above average for mcdonald style worker. They clearly are not motivated to make customers happy.
Ordering is typically easier when it is not crowded. When crowded you almost yell your order
Floors always feel sticky, tons of support staff wander around but typically dont do any cleaning. Management doesn’t properly discipline their workers.
I would not recommend paying 25-35$ for a single meal of subpar cold food from a halfstep above McDonald’s style restaurant.
Large fries and large soft drink
Teas are terrible from machine, they dont clean the ice bin properly, tea is molding inside over heated cannister.
Fries are cold, because again they make them 10 minutes before burger moves from drop spot to bun.
