Classic Diner Vibes with Friendly Service.
I’ve been to several Norms locations, and this was my first time at this one. The restaurant itself feels a bit outdated, but it works with the old-school diner vibe they seem to be going for.
Service was a bit slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy. That said, the staff was extremely friendly, and it didn’t feel like the delay was due to them personally — just unclear what the holdup was.
I tried the meatloaf for the first time. It was thinner than expected and a bit too salty for my taste, but the mashed potatoes and vegetables were fresh and flavorful and really helped round out the meal. My older kids stuck with their usual breakfast orders and enjoyed them as always, and my wife loved her burger.
Despite the slow start, the quality of the food and the friendly atmosphere made up for it. We’d definitely return if we’re in the area.

Located on E. Katella Ave near N. Tustin St. with plenty of parking. We stopped here on Saturday afternoon for a late breakfast.
We were seated immediately by a friendly hostess.
I had their ‘Lumberjack Breakfast’, which consists of 3 eggs, 3 bacon strips, 3 sausage links, hashbrowns, and 3 pancakes. I topped my pancakes with strawberries. Food tasted delicious and fresh.
The service was great. Shout out to our server, Marco who was extremely attentive, making sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal.
The restaurant was clean and organized during our visit. Overall, we had a great experience at this location and will definitely return.

We came to Norms after a long day at Disneyland and were sat immediately. We were lucky enough to be placed in Marco’s section, and he truly made our visit exceptional. His service was beyond wonderful—warm, attentive, and genuine from start to finish. He checked on us at the perfect times without ever feeling intrusive, and his recommendations were spot on. You could tell he really knows the menu and takes pride in making sure his guests have a great experience.
Marco had such a friendly, welcoming energy that made us feel right at home. Even though we used to live in Orange and have since moved away, he made our visit feel like we never left. Coming back for the night and returning to our favorite restaurant was nostalgic, and Norms was exactly how we remembered it—awesome!

Never a bad experience at Norms. We always have a good meal, the servers are always friendly, and the food is plentiful. The latest was with Marco who was very attentive and helpful. He kept the drinks filled. Enjoyed my fisherman’s wharf combo as well. Thanks again.

Once we walked in we were greeted right away by a pleasant gentleman with a smile. His name was Marco and he was our server. Marco was absolutely amazing. Very fast and he kept checking on us throughout our meal. He made our Saturday morning breakfast a very nice experience for us. We have been going to Norms for many years and he definitely provided a great experience that stood out from all previous servers here. The food was fresh cooked and delicious and still hot when brought to us by Marco.

Dinner after a movie at Norms. Marco was our server and was great. Always kept my coffee full and was very attentive. I got the blta with fries. Delicious. Definitely will come back.

We showed up on a Friday around 10 am. A few parking spots available, we thought the restaurant was really busy, but it really wasn’t.
The restaurant look clean and well lit, not too noisy inside, but the bathrooms could definitely use a bit more attention (a bit dirty, and it smelled really bad)
We waited about 3 minutes before we were taken to our table. The restaurant was not too busy. Our food did take about 20 minutes to come out (maybe because it four of us, who knows).
Our waitress was very kind, polite, and friendly. She took our orders quickly, and she was always attentive with our table.
Our food came out great, it was accurate, it was tasty, and it was a good quantity for the price. We ordered the California Omelette x 2, and we an order of the chilaquiles. The three plates had very good flavor.
Will try again in the future!
