We had a fantastic time! They chefs were hilarious, and the food portions were humongous for the Hibachi. Thought the sushi was a little small, but what I got was tasty. If you play along, it makes it much more enjoyable. They’ll get ya up for some twerking. We had 530 reservations for 14, but we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table. They have a small bar where you could grab drinks. They also have a sushi bar on the opposite side if you’re not doing Hibachi. Our wives had been here before and enjoyed it so much. It was their pick for the family outing.

My family and I had a reservation tonight for 5pm for 21 people celebrating a birthday. We specifically were there for early bird. We weren’t seated until 550pm. Managers didn’t want to honor that even though it wasn’t our fault they sat us late. 2 servers were assigned to us which did fine. 615, no Cooks, 630, no Cooks. 645, the manager comes out to apologize to us because both grills were off. No kind of resolution was implemented. When we asked, the manager stated, “let’s see how the rest of dinner goes”.
We couldnt order any appetizers that were cooked because they had no one working the cooking station…..Our Cooks were very entertaining. In the intro, the cook spilled a entire drink on a family member of ours. My food order wasn’t put in correctly. I ordered a trio Ribeye, 4Large Shrimp and Scallops. I never received these large shrimp, but the traditional ones. My mother’s ordered was recorded correctly, but served wrong. She doesn’t eat shrimp, but received shrimp and teriyaki chicken. It was 815pm by the time we got our bills paid after several mix ups.
Very disappointed in what they’ve become as a local

We came for a birthday celebration. I let the hostess know that it was a birthday as well as the chef. Our food was prepared well, however, there were no highlights. No conversation no funny banter, nothing. Not to mention no tricks except for a lava volcano at the end. At the end of our meal, I mentioned once again that it was a birthday and Kenzie came out with the drums and our server. Tarek brought a cupcake over and then proceeded to bring me over an extra bill. He told me that I needed to tell him that it was her birthday, not the host station and not the chef. This young man was actually quite rude about it. The funny part is, is the fact that we didn’t ask for a cupcake, just a song and we were charged $6.54 for the entertainment and the cupcake. That’s fine no big deal however, Tarek, who once again was quite rude, never brought my change. Lol.

Dined in the sushi bar, and Aquino’s simply can’t be matched! All the food is so fresh and clean, that you don’t feel too bad for over indulging. The chefs go above and beyond to accommodate the customer’s needs, and our server was awesome! We ordered a ton of different options and shared our picks family style. Even though this building (formally Miyabi’s) had changed names a few times recently, the food quality matches the same standard that it always has – perfection. I’ve been dining at this location since my mother was pregnant with me, and I’m 29 now, so that’s saying something! Always happy to enjoy a meal here!

Ps- You can order hibachi in the sushi bar if someone in your party isn’t a fan of sushi, and they offer fully cooked sushi rolls as well (check out the Kentucky Roll)!

We come to the beach every year to celebrate the wife’s birthday. And her choice for birthday dinner is always Aquinos. They have best sushi around, hands down! Great combos and rolls. And of course Kirin Ichiban to wash it all down. Service is always top notch! We’ve had Isabella as our waitress the last two years and she has the nicest demeanor and offers stellar service. The sushi chefs are on top of their game as well preparing works of art for us to devour! See ya next year!

Food and waitstaff were excellent. However, we had a frustrating experience getting seated.

Xmas Eve dinner at Aquinos is a family tradition. Been doing it for over 10 years. We know that a reservation does not guarantee seating at the prescribed time. However, we never previously had to miserable experience we did tonight.

After making a reservation for nine at 7:30 a month in advance, we arrived at 7:00 knowing Aquinos’ propensity for running late. Around 8:15, I enquired of the host stand about our status. I was advised there was a party of 14 ahead of us then we were up. Soon thereafter the party of 14 was seated, leaving only our party and a walk-in party of 9 in the waiting area.

Around 8:30 or 8:45, I returned from the restroom to find that the walk-in party of 9 had been seated, but not us. I asked to speak with the manager who swore to me the walk-in party had a reservation ahead of ours. The problem is that the walk-in party told me they did not have a reservation and, after we were seated, told me that they told the hostess that we should be seated ahead of them. This all fell on deaf ears.

I once again asked to speak to the manager . I admit I was a little more animated than the previous discussion with the manager. He once again swore the walk-in party had a reservation ahead of us. When I informed him that party told me they did not have a reservation, his response was, “Do you want to dine with us or not?” By this time it was 9:00. We had been there 3 hours. At that hour on Xmas Eve, the alternatives were limited. We were finally seated at or a little after 9.

Aquinos historically tends to overbook themselves for what I assume to compensate for possible cancellations (think of airlines overbooking). During the 10+ years of our family tradition, we have always had to wait 30-60 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. But 2 1/2 hours is unconscionable, especially when a walk-in group of the same size is seated before our party with reservations. I do not think the manager was untruthful about his belief that the walk-in party had a reservation (when they did not), I think there was a screw up at the host stand and with the check-in procedure. While frustrating for us, that might have been tolerable, but the manager’s retort after all of this asking me if we wanted to “dine with them” or not was callous, disrespectful, and unprofessional.

End result: the food, waitstaff, and chef were as good as always. However, the family is seriously considering breaking the tradition due to this regrettable experience.

Absolutely great. The food was great. Amazing staff and even better management. The mgr Scott came to make sure we were taking care of. We chatted after dinner. He was awesome. Service and chief were great too! Would definitely go back without a shadow of a doubt!

Very nice experience from start to finish. Receptive saved friendly hostesses, bus boys, and of course our chef Roger. Good and very plentiful food, much more meat than NY Hibachi places. Only things missing from a NY hibachi place is the vegetable flips into the guests mouths, and the saki “squirts“ into awaiting open mouths.
The steak and chicken were absolutely delicious!

We enjoyed our time here. My family and friends came here many difference times.
Great atmosphere, service. I give it a 4 because the foods we ordered is not fresh and the soy garlic noodle is so salty. Some staff was very kind and helpful, but the other wasn’t.
