Parking is easy and accessible. The food? An absolute explosion of flavors. I started with a chocolate de olla and a concha, and wow… it was unbelievably good. I also ordered the chilaquiles divorciados, and I was beyond full — in the best way possible!
My friend was the one who enjoyed it the most. They surprised her with “Las Mañanitas,” a traditional ranchero hat, and dessert included. We left incredibly happy.
Honestly, it is impossible to recommend a better place. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Drinks: the coffee was just underwhelming. I got a Nutella espresso and when I got it, it was very watered down. It just tasted like dirty water, which was disappointing because it looks gorgeous and the chantilly cream was delicious. My friend got a Nutella Frappe and says that it was fine, but that it also didn’t taste like Nutella. My other friend got a Nutello Cappuccino, and agreed that it was bland coffee with no Nutella taste.
As an avid coffee drinker, the main reason I wanted to come here was the coffee, so I probably won’t be back for that sole reason.
Now, if you aren’t a coffee drinker and are coming solely for desserts, it’s wonderful!
Desserts: the desserts were delicious! We tried the pancakes, the crepes, and the marquesitas and it was all great. Definitely meant to share though. Most were for like two people, but the pancakes could easily be for like 3 people.
Food: we didn’t eat any of the food, so no comments there.
Service: pretty good. No outstanding compliments or complaints. It did take quite a while to get the check, but it was also busy, so that’s understandable.
Pricing: a little on the pricier side. I know some really good places for cheaper, so another reason I probably wouldn’t come back. Also they charged us extra for the crepes. It says choose 3 ingredients but they said that if you choose more than one from the same category (drizzle, fruit, etc), its an extra charge… even if it’s 3 total.
Cleanliness: in the main area, not bad. A friend said the men’s bathroom was quite dirty, with the toilet being covered in… “Nutella”
Overall, if you just want a pricier sweet treat, not bad. But if you want coffee, there are better places.
Place is new/clean. They really need to tackle the average food and mediocre service issues they have, if they wish to survive past the novelty of their product phase and the warmer months. At this moment I cannot recommend and I don’t foresee coming back.
The chilaquiles were okay, though the beans had a smoky taste like if burnt. On a positive note, I really enjoyed the hot chocolate, especially with the cinnamon they add.
The decor is beautiful, and there is plenty of parking available.
