Walked into a very simple open layout dining room set up reminiscient of an older cafe. As soon as we walked in, we were asked dine in or carry out, selected the latter, and we’re directed to seat ourselves.
A very pleasant waitress greeted us pretty quickly and was very helpful and courteous to us. We decided we wanted to try the Coney Dogs here that made them famous and got them into the “100 Things to Do in Detroit Before You Die” book, so we ordered the Coney Dog, the Coney Dog with Cheese, and the Special Coney, as well as a side of fries. The Special Coney, with a topping of ground beef and cheese, was the clear winner for us out of the three, but everything was delicious and prepared beautifully. Side note: the Coney Dogs are prepared with franks, so if you want a 100% beef hot dog, order the Kosher Coney Dog.
Another waitress had come over and started chatting with us and provided us some recommendations on where to go next after finding out we were new to the area. Both waitresses eventually came over and asked for our feedback on the items we ordered, with our own waitress eventually ending our visit by asking us what we would rate our experience out of 10 (I gave it a 9, stating that the kosher option with an all beef dog would have made it a 10).
The restrooms are the only dull point of our visit. They did not appear clean, and the men’s room had a foul odor that was not pleasant. The dining room itself, however, was very clean and smelled great, even with a faint hint of bleach when we first arrived, which I don’t mind, because it means the place has been cleaned.
Great place to visit for a lunch or dinner stop, and it definitely warrants five stars!

Great example of a Leo’s Coney Island. Have been to many Leo’s, and this is one of the best. Went here for brunch late September 2025. Tasty food and great service. Will go again.

We ordered five dinners: burgers, brunch, grilled chicken kebabs, lettuce, and fried chicken. The taste was not very strong, but acceptable. The CC seller was very friendly and gave us free baked pudding. The price of the meal was very reasonable, and the overall style of the restaurant felt Greek.

Staff was bare minimum. They were quick, but no smiles or interest in what she was doing, very monotone. Made you feel like a nuisance.
Food was disappointing. My omelet was overcooked and dry. My hash browns were under cooked and had absolutely no seasoning. They tasted like water, they were so bland I had to put salt and pepper myself. The toast was toasted to perfection, probably the only thing cooked by a machine with no human intervention.
Too bad there no Waffle House around to save the day.

This place is a joke..I had made a positive review, but I’m replacing it with the truth…Got a Michigan Salad and was running late for work so i didn’t have a chance to view it first..All shrubbery and underneath was a handful of the true ingredients that make it a Michigan Salad..The amount of shrubbery was ridiculous! It never ceases to amaze me how slick human beings think they are in comparison to others..

Great tasting food and excellent service! Chicken pita just as l like it! Fries throughly cooked golden and crispy! Ice cold drinks with refills. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food and the service while we dined in. Clean inside and out, plenty of parking and seating at a table or booth.

This is a restaurant I found by pure chance as I was trying to exit the parking lot. The restaurant was busy at 2pm, but I seated right away. A charming and delightful waitress by the name of Deziree took excellent care of me. I ordered an unsweetened iced tea and two Coney Island hot dogs. Both were delivered right away. Both were delicious. Many other food items also looked appetizing, especially their omelettes. The restaurant was clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff seem like they have been working here for years. I would definitely return to this place and saved it as a favorite in Google Maps.

I ordered breakfast. This was the worst breakfast I have ever had. I asked for grits not a bowl of water. I added butter salt and pepper and it still tasted like a cup of plain water. This was a total waste of my 10$.

Worst place for fries! They are always soggy and cold even when you get a replacement order, and no salt or anything, just no flavor. I will never waste my money on fries again unless topped with chili and cheese cuz then you can’t taste the fries. I USUALLY like the club sandwich though, not always! The cooks definitely don’t seem to care there how the food goes out to paying customers!!
Edit to add: I just got home with my order that had the remake fries and after ALMOST finishing my sandwich, I FIND A HAIR IN MY BOX!!! IM LIVID AT THIS POINT. THEY NEED A SERIOUS REHAUL TO THAT PLACE! You can see the hair is super short and black too and I HAVE BLONDE HAIR!
