Found by accident while traveling and loved it!! We would be a regular if we lived in the area. Our waitress Alex S was awesome and took great care of us, the salad bar had enough selections to make a meal out of it alone, my wife’s pork chop was excellent and my steak was perfectly cooked to my liking… highly recommended!!

My wife and I were traveling to a motorcycle event and made a point to stop at Cattleman’s Roadhouse in Mount Sterling, and it was a fantastic choice. The first thing we noticed was the massive salad bar, the kind you rarely see anymore, fresh and loaded with options.
We sat at the bar, had great conversations with the bartender and a manager, and enjoyed perfectly cooked top quality steaks along with the amazing salad bar. The bourbon selection was excellent too, with several high-end and even private-labeled options.
Fantastic food, great vibe, and genuinely welcoming people. I only wish we had one closer to home. It’s one of the best small-chain steakhouse experiences I’ve ever had.

This was a great place. I’ve always love tumbleweed but I have to say after visiting here i found my new favorite place!! There country feed steak and baked potatoes was delicious. And the salad bar was great as well!Waitress was sweet and very knowledgeable. I don’t remember her name but I wish I did so I could give e her kudos for knowing her job well. The place was clean, friendly, didn’t have to wait for a table out food came out quickly and I have been to restraunts that have served got food, don’t get me wrong, but to actually go to a place that when they bring your food out, it’s still so hot that you have to give it a bit of a blow on the bite before you can touch your mouth. That to me is great service!

Im near Maysville Ky and honestly get kind of board with just local restaurants not to discredit local by no means. So we headed to a steakhouse within a short distance and decided on Cattlemans or Texas Roadhouse because neither are in our area. I picked Cattlemans in Mt Sterling and to be frank I’d rather I picked Morehead location or TR….
I had the 8 oz sirloin cooked medium with a baked potato and the salad bar she had 8 oz sirloin cooked well with a baked potato and the salad bar… Retts steak was medium rare and mine was ok but I tasted a honey or orange glaze type taste in every bite eventhough it wasn’t glazed in no way shape or form. Then to top it all off we finally get to tell the waitress and she says sorry I can bring you another one at which point we was both done eating. I heard I assume the manager asking people behind us if things were OK but never did come to our table so I just payed the bill and left..Yes I still gave a tip.

We were meeting friends for 5 days and Mt Sterling, KY is the halfway point. Cattleman’s Roadhouse had great reviews so we chose it for our first night’s dinner. Donna W was our server , she was kind & helpful with our ordering and even took our photo! Everything we had was perfectly delicious! Add the salad bar it’s all you can eat & less than $5 plus eat the hot rolls, yum! Two of us had the 8oz sirloin with bourbon glaze and added the salad bar, oh my soooo good! Hubs had the 8 oz sirloin with blue cheese added and fries, yummy! Our 4th had the half rack of ribs, asparagus and salad bar, said the ribs were awesome! So now it’s our last night in our cabin before heading home and we decided to go back to Cattleman’s for a 2nd visit since our first experience was so great! Shawnda was a very good server tonight. On Sunday’s they offer Early Bird specials until 5:30 pm so I ordered the 6oz sirloin with bourbon glaze with a sweet potato and the salad bar was included in the $15.99 price, so so tasty & great price! Hubs ordered the fried pork chop special and had the mac & cheese as his side plus the salad bar was included too! What a deal! Our friends had the pot roast and the beer cheeseburger from the seasonal menu with 2 Pattie’s and lots of cheese with a side of onion rings, they both added the salad bar and thoroughly enjoyed their meals! We all tried the onion rings and thought they must be cut fresh, nothing like regular frozen ones! Definitely recommend Cattleman’s Roadhouse if you’re close to Mt Sterling, KY!

I cannot express how amazing this place is. We went on a Saturday got us in under the quoted time. Service was fast and great. The food was absolutely the reason we came. First time there and this has to be top 3 steaks I have ever had. Can’t say enough good things. We did go to the one out in Mt Sterling KY. If you are by there stop in you won’t regret it.

We didn’t even make it inside to be seated. We had a party of 8 gathering for my mother’s 75th birthday. My nephew had put our party on the list when he arrived. After everyone showed up I wanted to get an idea of how long it would be, because it was cold and everyone except for me where waiting in their cars. I waited until there wasn’t a line at the host stand to ask about our party. I got a very rude response of, “I told them it’d be an hour and a half, and it’s been 18 minutes!” Needless to say, we very quickly moved our plans for her birthday party.
