I am not one to write a sour review. It was my first time visiting the Paradox Grille and Gateway Canyons Resort with my family on my birthday. Needless to say, it was not a positive experience. The menu was not as advertised on the website. Food took an hour to come out, despite us ordering everything at once with no preference on what came out first. Our drinks were empty and we had not seen a server in 20 minutes. The only positive experience is that we were seated at an outside table given that we had a toddler. The crab cakes were overcooked, the olives in the dirty martini were rotten and the service was slow. There was no toilet paper in the stalls in one of the women’s stalls. When we went to leave, I had a gift certificate to pay and had to wait for over twenty minutes while they had to call tech support to sort it out. Meanwhile, my family was outside waiting. Happy Birthday to me.

We went to gateway canyons for a vacation, spent every day here for lunch and dinner, we loved it so much! People there were always super nice! I have a roudy 7 year old and they didn’t seem to get upset over his craziness either, but were actually very nice to him also, my husband and I have been to places where people were not always that nice to us or our son when he would act up in the restaurant. I wish I could give the place more than 5 stars, they are amazing!

We had such an amazing dinner at the Paradox Grill at Gateway Canyons Resort! The new menu is fantastic! My husbands steak was cooked perfectly and my salmon was absolutely delicious. Our server, Donald, was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The only regret we had was not saving enough room for dessert! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Gateway.

Family of 4 Review (2 adults/age 3 and 1): Servers were friendly, though we waited sometime for our check ( with little ones, that’s tough). When i first arrived at 6:04, was told they couldn’t seat non- guests of the hotel after 6pm. We were passing through back from Moab and there isn’t much else around and grand junction was almost another hour. So I asked the manager if they would seat us being it was now only 6:08. She did, stating the resort had 160 people that night, so they were going to be pretty full. We didn’t see it full during or after, but we were outside.
Sat outside as it was nice to let the kids crawl/run around the courtyard without disturbing other diners. Ambiance was nice and clean.
Our food: the kids meals seemed like a good value. The chicken fingers and fries were plentiful $7. Fries were the real deal, though the chicken fingers were definitely off the frozen, thick breading, kind. Their homemade ranch sauce was good. My husband’s shrimp scampi $35, looked delicious and was plated very nice, with 5 or 6 large tail-on shrimp, but only a small portion of pasta. The pasta didn’t have much flavor and really needed lots more lemon and garlic. My husband was still hungry when we left. Rib Eye steak was large, cooked right (med/rare), and was good, just not wow. It came with mashed potatoes (tasty) and broccolini (didn’t taste fresh). No dinner rolls came before or during our meal (not sure this is something they do or that we were skipped).
All in all, it was a peaceful, easy stop with the kids, service was friendly and the food was ok. At this price point, I enjoy being wowed with flavor and a few little extras ( i.e warm bread with olive oil/balsamic or a small soup/salad included with entrées).

Fun stop in Gateway Canyons – especially as a treat after a visit to the amazing automobile collection. Attentive service & great food (my pulled pork tacos were super!). Drinks are pricey – but the Bordeaux cherry in my Manhatten (made with local aged rye) was almost worth the price. Inside tables are nice, but we asked to sit outside & enjoyed the view.

This restaurant is located at the Gateway Canyon restaurant. Awesome resort! My husband and I ate here the first night. We had their buffalo wings and crawfish mac and cheese. They were both just ok. It could have had more seasoning in the mac and cheese and the wings could have been fried harder to have more crispness. We had their breakfast the next day…very good!! We had their pancakes, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, elk sausage, and bacon. Their pancakes were amazing! Staff was very nice and welcoming. The restaurant has very nice decor. I like how this restaurant is on the property. Can easily walk there and they close at a late enough hour, 11pm, which is nice if you’re hungry later in the night.
