We stopped here few months ago and I forgot to rate it. So we really enjoyed our experience. Me and my husband got the boil bowls and he got spicy and I preferred the buttery route. And both was delicious. We couldn’t eat the whole thing it was so much. Our daughter got the catfish platter and the breading on the fish was so good. Like KFC breading. The waitress was friendly and always made sure we had plenty to drink. The atmosphere was very fun.

The food is the star here. It was pretty good! The flavors were good. I appreciated the hospitality of the restaurant. The shrimp was overcooked. I assumed it’s pre cooked for efficiency and they add it to the mix. The clam chowder was excellent but mostly potato. Could have had some more clam in it. Everyone was very nice. I do not regret the meal but I understand why it wasn’t more busy.

Could decide if it was a Chinese restaurant or a seafood restaurant. No staff at lunch time just a man sitting in the corner. I’ve been to other pair 88 restaurant and this has a complete different menu. Will not return. 60 dollars and left half the food on the table.

Overall the place was pretty great. Friendly staff, cool decorations, clean, smelled amazing, and the food was absolutely great! I had the Dreadnought, and it did not disappoint! 2 snow crab clusters, 2lbs of shrimp, 2 potatoes and 2 corn on the cobs! All the way down to the sauce and seasoning, it was spot on what I was hoping for from a seafood place in Oklahoma. Definitely will be back!

It’s risky to try seafood in Oklahoma, but it was better than expected, yet still average. I had low expectations. The lemon water had a weird aftertaste. Wait for seating was quick (5pm Saturday) but for food was a long wait. Portions decent. I had poke bowl, hubs had hot bowl. Rice was pretty good. Shrimp tasty. I didn’t feel gypped on anything. Overall food smelled better than tasted, but it was okay enough I may come back for the boil. UPDATE: Came back and decided on teriyaki special. Good, not great, not terrible. Teriyaki on the sweet side. Still not too bad for price. Filling.

Didn’t know what to expect. Server was diamond quality.
Food was OK but not great. 1/2 lb. boiled shrimp & 1/2 lb. scallops. Shrimp was overcooked, scallops undercooked. Hush puppies were good. LOOK LIKE A $37 SINGLE PERSON ORDER TO YOU?
But they’re new. Will retry in a couple months.

The food and service was AMAZING, but I was not impressed with how the manager handled an issue. We ordered the Dreadnought. On the menu there are slashes between each item except at the end where it specifically states 1 lb Crawfish And 1 lb Sausage. The waitress declared the sausage was an additional option. I said but it says and! She said let me talk to the manager. She comes back and tells me they’ve found a lot of issues on the menu, and that she’s sorry but the manager said it’s extra. I told her I still didn’t agree, and she said she’d go have the manager come talk to me. She came back and told me he wasn’t going to come talk to me and that he would only half the sausage with me. It was $3, so I said fine. A manager should always be willing to come talk to a patron. I suggested to the waitress that maybe they should invest in some stickers or a Sharpie until they run out of menus because it’s false advertising!!

So I just tried Pier 81 for the first time since their opening and I was thoroughly impressed. I started off with an order of hush puppies, fried calamari and 2 raw oysters(1st time eating raw oysters). The hush puppies were full of flavor and the calamari was absolutely delicious and fried to a perfect golden brown. Being this was my first time trying raw oysters I decided I had better put a bit of Tabasco sauce on them to help the mental block I was putting on myself. After putting the oyster on to a cracker, I opened wide and was delightfully surprised at how yummy and good they were. Moving on after the appetizers I decided to choose the largest pre-picked boiler they offer, the Dreadnaught. I chose to get a snow crab cluster and lobster tail as my main meat options and then went with 1lb of shrimp and 1lb black mussels as my add-on’s. Next came the difficult choice of what seasoning and spice level. I didn’t stray far from my norm and went with spicy Cajun. After a much anticipated short wait my tray came out completely overflowing with food. (did I forget to mention you also get 2 corns and 2 red potato’s)

Every single mouthful of food was bursting with flavor and the spice level was just right to make your lips burn just a touch. I think I counted 29-30 shrimp and over 25 mussels in the “pound” they advertise on the menu. The servers were all walking by saying “that’s a lot of food. No way you’ll eat it all”

Well folks, challenge accepted and conquered. Now that I’m done it is time to slip in to a food coma for a bit but I will most definitely be back for round 2 and try something different

Two thumbs way up

Knowing this was their launch day I expected some issues. Wife and I ordered the crabmeat fries you see in the picture. First order was way under cooked fries were soggy. I told the waitress she took them back to have another order made. That order was actually pretty good. The fries needed some garlic butter or a light sauce on them to make the shredded crabmeat stick to the fires. This was served with no utensils, nor plates, just the basket. Kinda hard to eat with the meat just falling off of the fries. But the flavor was really good. Also not a fan of crinkle cut fries. The main entree I ordered was the Corvette. 1/2lb of mussels, 1/2lb of shrimp, 1/2 lb of crawfish. Had sausage, potatoes, and corn mixed in as well. This thing was Huge! The mussels were incredible, the shrimp was amazing too, the crawfish was over cooked but crawfish is very forgiving. So they were still sweet and delicious. The garlic butter sauce, with medium heat was definitely a great choice. The sauce just kept me going back for more. My wife got the Cajun sauce and I got to say hers was insane. If I had one complaint it would only be that the potatoes were kinda big so they didn’t absorb the flavor. But that is a great complaint to have. This place was awesome, we will for sure be back. 2 people, 1 appetizer, 2 meals, 2 drinks came to $60 we left $20 for a tip. This type of quality seafood is worth every dollar. The quantity matched the quality, very impressed.
