LD’s has a simple philosophy…I would rather you were disappointed because you didn’t get what you want than disappointed that you did. We throw a lot of food away because it’s not good enough. However, I know something is bound to slip by that I wouldn’t like myself so if that happens to be you that gets it, let me know so I can make sure that we tighten up on quality control. I have been coming to eat Lds bbq for years at 3 different locations and have been loving every bite along the way! I wouldn’t say that its inexpensive, but I have learned that you get what you pay for in life. Which today, Lds proved to be above and WAY beyond true!! About a month or so ago I had an issue with something from there, but because i’m a frequent flyer I thought I would just bring it up the next time.I was there. I did, and the owner was not around, so I was encouraged to send him an email. I did so not thinking anything of it or expecting anything, I just wanted to make him aware as a loyal customer. To my delight and complete surprise, i was not only gifted a box of sausage but they insisted on smoking it for me, and throwing in some buns!!!! I couldn’t believe my good fortune, or what unbelievable customer service and loyalty was demonstrated by all the staff at Lds!!!! Not only is the barbecue, second to none, but the staff truly treat people exactly how I believe and run my own business, which is to treat people how you want to be treated!!! Great Job all of you at Lds, Thank you!!! If you’ve read this, this far, do yourself a favor and head directly to Ld’s barbecue!! It has been consistently delicious The whole time i’ve known them, which is well over ten years. Keep Making America Great, one sausage at a time, lol! Thank you guys, see you soon!!!

Very very good BBQ. It’s all about the sauces! The sauces are tremendous although I don’t care for the mustard but if you like mustard that sauce has it; the Zippy is our favorite.
All the meat was cooked perfectly, wonderfully tender and juicy. I didn’t give it five stars only because I didn’t taste the smoke I can certainly see it. I was expecting to taste hickory or pecan or mesquite or apple in the pulled pork but those flavors weren’t there. Maybe they just use oak? But overall very good. I’ll go back!

Delicious bbq and fair prices. The food was very good. Brisket was very tender and flavorful. Service was quick and polite. We had deluxe sample platter and it was more than enough to feed 2 people. Overall very Happy

Been enjoying Lds BBQ since they opened even when I lived in Illinois. Now that I live nearby now I still visit never disappointed. I like the mac dinner with fatty brisket ends so delicious. If you go with 2-3 people the sampler platter is probably enough for 4 people.

Me and the wife where looking for a new place that had rib tips and to our delight we found LD’s BBQ in the search engine so we stopped by on our way home from the Wisconsin State Fair, we were very pleased with the quality and the quantity of the food is outstanding and the service we got very friendly people who had taken care of us. We are going to make it a go to place for a bite to eat, we live in northern Illinois and we don’t have to many places with great bbq so we now have another place to go to eat bbq.

The inside and outside were very nice and clean. The girl that took my order didn’t have much of a personality and wasn’t friendly. I got brisket nachos. They really loaded the brisket up and damn it was excellent. However, the chips were not crunchy or crispy and they put shredded cheddar and then hot liquid cheese on the chips. That was a turn off. I thought she would have threw the chips and cheese in an oven to melt the cheese and crisp up the chips. Hubby had the smoked sausage was very good the bread was a little heavy for us but that’s us. The coleslaw was pretty good. I would go back and try again and try pulled pork.

Best bbq this side of the Mississippi. And the owners freaking awesome. I’ve had multiple visits where the lines out the door and he’ll start passing out free samples or passing out free beers. Foods amazing.
