Great service, and I loved the supper club experience here. The old fashioned was on point. My squash and tomato soup was very good on the cold day. And my ribeye was delicious! It was cooked to perfection, and I loved the onion strings that came with. The mashed potatoes could have been creamier, though were decent. And for dessert, we tried the turtle cheesecake and banana cream pie. Both were good, but the turtle cheesecake was alone worth going back for. Will definitely be back!

Very nice supper club. Staff was attentive. Prime rib was great and very melt in your mouth cooked at medium rare. Drink was good and smooth, which was there Wisconsin Brandy Old Fashioned. Mashed potatoes were not creamy, had small chunks of potato in it but was freshly mashed and the gravy was good, which I will ask for extra next time, since the potatoes were on the drier side. Upgraded the soup to French Onion, which very good, alot of cheese on top, and was a bit sweeter than other places have it, but that only means they actually caramelized the onions properly.

Romantic place to go on a first date, anniversary or other special celebration you want to celebrate.

Highly recommend making reservations, since they book up quickly. We were there right at 4:30 on Saturday and they were already booked up for the evening and weren’t taking any reservations for the rest of the evening. They allowed us to stay and order in the dining room but informed us if we did, they would need our table in one hour, since they had a 50 person company party coming in and the rest of the tables were reserved as well. It was nice they told us the option instead of just turning us away. We only needed an hour and the food was out within 25 minutes. They did say we could have ordered at the bar, but we wanted to experience the dining room, since that was our 1st time there.

Will be returning…..but will make reservations next time.

A Perfect Milwaukee Night Out at The Packing House!

We kicked off our night with old fashioneds and Prosecco, and right away the vibe was set. For appetizers, we shared the shrimp cocktail with nice big shrimp and a great cocktail sauce, and the crab stuffed mushrooms, which were absolutely unbelievable. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The complimentary rye bread alone deserves a shoutout. Warm, soft, and downright addictive.

For dinner, we split the Friday fish fry and wow, the fish was spectacular. Perfectly crispy on the outside and flaky inside. The potato pancakes that came with it were the real surprise star. Golden, delicious, and the perfect pairing.

We sat in the bar area, which was packed and buzzing with energy. The live band was wonderful and kept the atmosphere lively and lovely all evening. Such a great touch that made the experience feel extra special.

From drinks to appetizers to dinner and entertainment, everything was top notch. A truly classic Milwaukee experience done right. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful decor. Ordered the Baked French Onion Soup, it was not hot. Also got the Beef Wellington that was delicious, it came with fresh green beans and unfortunately they were so cold the butter wouldn’t melt. When my friend mentioned that to the waitress she took the greens beans off my plate and brought them to the kitchen to be reheated. The food is quite pricey would think the would’ve just brought me a fresh serving. Overall it was a decent experience.

The Packing House absolutely delivered a top-tier dining experience from start to finish. The steak was a perfect 5/5, cooked medium rare just as ordered — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The Garlic Stuffed Filet stood out as a beautifully prepared, high-quality cut that showed real attention to detail.

To start, the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms hit the spot — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The Fried Eggplant was another pleasant surprise, crispy on the outside with a tender, savory interior.

And of course, no meal here would be complete without their Old Fashioned, which was mixed to perfection — smooth, balanced, and exactly what you’d expect from a true Wisconsin supper club classic.

From the food to the cocktails and cozy, nostalgic atmosphere, The Packing House proves why it’s a Milwaukee favorite. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates great steak and timeless supper club charm.

First visit and was very pleased. The Steak Au Poivre was excellent. My wife was taking some of the cognac sauce to put on her steak. The French onion soup was a little sweet for my taste.

If you want casual, but elegant ambiance, attentive staff and outstanding food -visit The Packing House. I’ve been coming here for decades, and they never disappoint! Always first-rate! For the first time in my life, I ordered Beef Wellington. It’s a filet mignon, wrapped in a baked dough, giving it a bread-like crust. There are mushroom & garlic added in for flavor. It was delicious, especially with the Cognac sauce. Mmmmm!
My wife had the 8 oz Filet, with shredded onion rings and mashed potatoes. Everything was great. We’ll be back.

My husband and I decided to try a local restaurant in order to support local and for our Christmas Eve dinner since both of us work food service (he’s a chef and I’m a bar manager) and neither of us wanted to cook or make drinks.
The servers were rather busy but VERY lovely and attentive. We ordered the crab mushrooms which were not to my liking. However, my husband seemed to enjoy them quite a bit, so this is likely just a preference of taste not preparation or ingredients. I ordered the pork chop and a loaded baked potato. I’m a light eater so I ended up bringing likely 80% of it home. The potato was cooked magnificently and the pork chop was very well executed however I would say it could have used a slight bit more seasoning. Unfortunately my husbands pasta was not palatable. I have never encountered a fettuccine sauce so oily and lacking cheese or cream. I managed an Italian restaurant for 2 years that’s been opened for around 42 years now… and sadly this did not compare in the slightest. However, the shrimp we ordered with it was cooked to perfection; just the right amount of time. Their bread was phenomenal (crunchy on the outside, but soft and decadent on the inside) my only wish is that they made their own butter to do this loaf its dignity. The drinks we ordered were satisfactory however I don’t think we will be back since I feel the prices are inflated for what you actually receive.
