10 stars—exceptional from start to finish.
The service was outstanding, and the food was incredibly fresh and came out quickly. We had the opportunity to try the A5 Japanese Wagyu topped with caviar and mushrooms—truly unforgettable. I ordered the yellowtail, which I get every chance I can at any sushi spot that offers it, and this is hands down a top-two yellowtail experience for me.
My husband had the Japanese scallops, which he described as unbelievably soft, sweet, and delicate. We also shared the Leo Roll, and it’s easy to see why it’s so popular—absolutely delicious.
10/10 recommend. We’ll definitely be back. ✨

We had a truly fantastic experience. I’m gluten free with an avocado allergy and they were very accommodating. Their prices were very reasonable for a sushi restaurant and their portions were generous.
The seating was comfortable and the ambiance was great.
They had complementary onion soup to start. And had various sauces to choose from to accompany your meal. We had eel sauce and spicy mayo.
As we were paying for our meal they realized it was our first time and then gave us a coupon card for a free appetizer along with a cute branded keychain.
I look forward to coming back the next time I’m in Denton.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to not overlook this review. I have been to every sushi restaurant you could imagine. From $400 omakase style dinners to gas station sushi. I’ve tried them all Kai is HANDS DOWN amongst some of the best I’ve ever had. From start to finish this place is an absolute hidden gem. Please please please, if you’re looking for QUALITY sushi check this place out. They also have amazing cocktails. The manager Kevin is always so nice and make sure you ask him for a yuzu gimlet cocktail. It’s truly one of a kind. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Go see for yourself.

Fantastic experience, I felt like the quality of the sushi was the best I’ve had in a long time, very fresh, even compared to some very high end places. If you’re a nigiri person, it’s impeccable. If you’re a rolls person, they have all sorts of chefs creations as well as the classics. If you’re a hand roll person, they have that too. And the appetizers were great too! This place is fantastic for dining in or takeout, despite being in a strip mall. And value for money, can not beat it.

Its very delicious! Had the butterfly kiss and it was so tender and soft, the sauce with it was really good. Volcano roll was amazing as well, also the spicy edamame was had a very nice kick to it and well balanced garlic flavor.

To end our meal, we shared some strawberry and mango mochi — the perfect light and refreshing treat to finish off an already wonderful dining experience.
