We purchased The Fresh Garden Market in June of 2021 and added a Smokehouse. We completely remodeled and did away with the “store side” of original Market. We cook fresh Pork, Ribs, Brisket, and Bologna every day, so there is a possibility of running out of certain foods later in the afternoon. But we also have a great diverse menu including our daily specials. Come see the difference in fresh homemade cooking!!

We found this place on our way down to Baton Rouge, and went out of our way to stop in again on our way back to Nashville. The family that runs it made us feel so welcome. And the food was fresh and delicious! We had cheeseburgers, brisket tacos, wings, garden salad, and we were lucky enough to come on a day when they had the pulled pork egg rolls – yum! Waitress was very friendly and explained what Rueban brisket was. I felt adventurous and ordered the Reuben sandwich. I have never eaten brisket with such a great flavor. It was amazing!

My family and I stopped for lunch and left highly disappointed. The brisket sandwiches were mostly fat with little meat on them, the pork on sandwich was flavorless and all meats were “cold”. The southwestern egg rolls were nothing special but frozen items. My kids liked the hand cut fries and my husband enjoyed the slaw. We do not recommend the brisket or pork sandwich they were very disappointing. Also the place needs a good deep cleaning. We will not be coming back.

Awesome place ! My wife and I came in late one Wed, met owner and family , food was some of best I’ve ever had. Ordered Wed special Chicken fried Chicken. While waiting owner gave us a sample of his brisket, OMG 🙂 truly mouthwatering both dishes.

Recommended by my doctor at Cockrell and it did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious with the most hospitable service. Amber is an amazing waitress!! Had brisket nachos that are big enough for three people and a smoked turkey sandwich.
