One of the best service experiences I’ve had in Baton Rouge. Our server Gabe was on point, and kept the whole table engaged and happy throughout the time we were dining. They were very busy and a little short staffed, but kept up with the requests of the customers and maintained a high level of professionalism. The dishes we had were cooked well and had a good taste, but nothing was over the top good, which was a little disappointing. Could have been an off night, I’ll append my review if my next visit is better. Still worth stopping by if you’re on Acadian and hungry for a steak.

My family and I recently visited this restaurant to celebrate my niece’s birthday. There were about 25 of us, so we understood it was a large party and extended grace throughout the evening. However, the overall experience was extremely disappointing.
Several meals were not cooked properly, and nearly all of our tickets were calculated incorrectly. We actually had to assist the server in reviewing and correcting multiple checks because they were so mixed up. During that process, the server mistakenly referred to us as “you people” before quickly correcting herself. While she attempted to clarify her statement, it was still inappropriate and uncomfortable.
Before leaving, I ordered a well-done steak to go. It was brought out about 10 minutes before we left, but because we were still trying to sort out the incorrect tickets, I did not check the order. By the time I got home, I discovered the steak was severely undercooked and nowhere near well-done.
I contacted the restaurant the next day, and the manager’s response felt dismissive. I was simply offered a credit. Given that I had already avoided this establishment for four years due to past experiences, this visit did not restore my confidence.
I am sharing this to provide honest feedback about our experience. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works toward improving service accuracy, food quality, and customer communication. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I cannot recommend this location.

Drake was our waiter & he did a very good job. He told us about the new menu to choose from. We got the Range Rattlers’ for an appetizer, very good! Shrimp, cheese (Im sorry, lol, I forgot what cheese)& peppers, Delicious! Then my Husband had 12oz steak& baked potatoe& I had steak& BBQ pork ribs. Fell off the bone goodness! Oh, I had Chicken tortilla soup. Very delicious!! The veggies had some crunch& not mushy. Good flavor!

It was my first time eating here. Hands down, absolutely amazing! The service from front of house to back was awesome. Bri was our server and she was very accommodating and attentive. The food… WOW. That potato soup threw us in the best possible direction to bliss. Our entrees… even better! For the amount of food and wonderful service we received… we were shocked by the price. We expected our bill to be higher honestly! I highly recommend this place. 11/10!

Had a wonderful meal and great service tonight. Started with Range Rattlers, mains of Urban Cowboy and Filet Oscar that were both cooked perfectly medium. Eric our server was very busy but was very friendly and never kept us waiting. This was our first dining experience at Salt Grass in Baton Rouge and we were impressed with the staff. Thanks for making our anniversary celebration a success

I had their fried mozzarella for the first time and it was so good it was perfectly fried and everything. I requested my steak to be medium well and you don’t know how hard it’s been lately to get a genuinely medium well steak. It came out perfect. They said that the GM is the one who cooked it I came around 3:30 and got my food by 3:50 great atmosphere everything came out fresh and it was good .

Good… not great! It’s been a while, so we decided to grab lunch.
The place is nice, much nicer than most chain restaurants. Personally don’t care for the “Bro Pop country music”, but I get it.
The service was on point and enjoyed their “special cocktail” list. Did not like being asked immediately if we wanted to sign up for their “loyalty program”.
We ordered the Hot Nashville chicken sandwich, (which the waitress warned that it was more buffalo style than Nashville). Also ordered the steak salad.
The sandwich was fine, but not “Hot Nashville”. The salad was good, not great. The steak was cooked fine to medium rare, but had hard boiled eggs that were dry and cold. Seems like that were boiled then kept in the cooler.
Also asked for fresh ground pepper which took quite awhile to get (obviously have only one pepper mill.
Overall we were underwhelmed to say the least. ‍♂️

First time here and it wasnt busy at all but it took our food over 50 mins to get. The mashed potatoes were salty, the fries were salty and too much dressing on our salad. Otherwise it was OK. Probably won’t be driving as far as I did to go here again. Our waiter was asking can he get us anything while we waited and I can tell he noticed our food took awhile.
