Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

My wife and I are from the river valley and we were up visiting family so we decided to stop in and grab a bite to eat.
I have experience managing restaurants so I am on the pickier side when it comes to eating out. When we first walked in the door we were greeted by a customer cleaning up the lobby. Not like a lot of stores who yell “HELLO WELCOME to _______” and makes some people feel uncomfortable. We never had that feeling here. We ordered our food on a counter top that wasn’t sticky, which in my experience is sadly kind of rare nowadays.
We then went to get our drinks. The soda machine looked like it was brand new, No syrup residue in the overflow or anything. Before we could get our drinks our food was finished which raised a red flag, but when I tell you that was possibly the best and freshest fast food I have ever had I mean it.
Bobby {the general manager} came over and started checking on the individual tables. He eventually made it over to us. He noticed we forgot to grab napkins and without even asking he brought us a couple.
Good job Elm Springs/Springdale Whataburger. Be proud you did good
BY FAR THE BEST WHATABURGER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD.

Under new leadership, great food! Friendly environment. I felt very welcome there, staff were smiling and very helpful. Family of 6 and we didn’t have to wait long for our food which surprised me because usually a large family like ours takes awhile to make that much food. Definitely eating here again.

The food here is great, the service is good, and the atmosphere is average. The employees do great work. Customer service needs work. I’ve been to many locations. My biggest complaint all around(not just here at this location), is the crap music and the volume of it. It’s too loud. If you ask them to turn it down, they either ignore you, look at you like you’ve done something wrong, or both. I prefer a relaxing dining experience to a loud speaker blasting “Love Shack” in my ear first thing in the morning! My advice: You should play better music AT AN ACCEPTABLE VOLUME. Note: I marked Dine In, Breakfast. But I eat at various Whataburger locations at different times of the day.

They can be a hit or miss. Some of the workers are really good and some are just lazy. Today they just threw everything in there, the fry box still folded in one. People nowadays don’t seem to be thankful for the jobs they have and rather stay and do stuff like this instead of find a different job that suits their liking.

One visit to the Elm Springs Whataburger completely changed my opinion of the franchise. I was in town from Fort Smith picking something up and needed a quick lunch, so I stopped in. Despite being busy, the restaurant was quiet, clean, and well-organized.
The staff was genuinely friendly and attentive, even while clearly staying on top of their tasks. The manager, he was bald, and I believe his name tag said Bob—was a standout. He was helping with drive-thru orders, answering questions from another team member, and keeping everything moving without missing a beat. He looked like he’d been on his feet all morning, even wobbling a bit as he walked, but never once showed any sign of frustration or defeat.
My order came out quickly and tasted noticeably better than my past experiences at other locations—fresh, hot, and well made. I will absolutely be returning to this location. Kudos to the Elm Springs Whataburger team for creating such a friendly and inviting lunch environment!

Im from the west coast where there’s in-n-out, but not whataburger. I’ve been wanting to try it, so I’m pretty disappointed. Got a double cheese burger with fried onions and bacon. The toppings were good but scarce, I didn’t taste a single topping until I got to the center of the burger, then the other end of the burger had no toppings. Don’t know if its cause the workers don’t care, or if its always like this. The jalapeño ranch and creamy pepper sauces were good though.
The bun is hard and dry, the patty is dry as well, compared to in-n-out. Whataburger doesnt hold a candle to in-n-out. But their sauce game is superior.

This location need a manager or someone to keep an eye on them , and inspect/check the orders before handing out. 3 times I picked up food had missing items . Used to be good . Kids that work there act like they are force to do the job. Hope they send a manager or grown up to check on the kids.

It’s was okay. We stopped in on a Tuesday night around 7. I got the patty melt and it was good. Wife had the classic cheese buger and she was happy with it. We had three chicken tenders amd onion rings to share. They were not good at all. The breading fell off very easily and had no flavor too.

I drove through. The people and the food was great for a fast food establishment. I ordered pancakes and sausage. The pancakes were huge. The only downside was the coffee ☕. It was hot and fresh but very bitter even with flavoring added to it. Hopefully they will be able to get something different.

Ate here twice. First time I was served the wrong burger. They replaced it, went to eat the replacement and it was undercooked. Second time we were served over cooked chicken. The worker explained to us they haven’t cleaned the fryer that’s why the chicken looks like that. It was rubbery and hard, not just the color. Won’t be back. The manager had an attitude about the whole situation even though our group was being cool about it, we just asked to replace it with something not fried that was like pulling teeth.
