I was in myrtle beach for a golf trip…. I love this place. As in, I literally was there 4 times for dinner in a week. We sat at the bar every night. Shane, Courtney, Chris and Wendy… all fabulous! Pay them a visit, you won’t be sorry.

My husband and I haven’t had a date night since May 2025, we have two babies at home so when we finally get the chance to go out for a nice dinner, we are very selective about where we spend that time. This experience exceeded every expectation.

The food was absolutely perfect, beautifully prepared, flavorful, and worth every bite. But what truly made the night unforgettable was the service.

Philip J was, without question, the best server I’ve ever had. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, warm, professional, and genuinely kind. He elevated the entire experience and made our long-overdue date night feel special.

Thank you for such a fantastic evening. We will absolutely be back.

I dined at Ruth’s Chris Steak House tonight and unfortunately left disappointed.

I ordered a steak medium with a touch of pink (medium rare) along with lobster. When my meal arrived, the steak was clearly overcooked and well done. I politely showed it to my server, who was very friendly and agreed it was overcooked. She handled the situation professionally and involved the manager.

The manager also agreed the steak was overcooked and offered to replace it. However, when taking my plate, he attempted to remove the entire dish — including my lobster, which I had not complained about. When I asked what would happen to my lobster, he offered to bring a completely new plate with both a new steak and lobster. I agreed and waited patiently.

After some time, the manager returned and informed me that he could not provide a new lobster because the chef said I had already eaten half of it. This was confusing and uncomfortable, especially since replacing the lobster was his suggestion — not my request. Additionally, the lobster that was returned to me appeared reheated and did not taste fresh as it originally had.

While the replacement steak was cooked properly, the experience felt inconsistent and poorly managed. I appreciate that mistakes happen, but clear communication and follow-through are essential, especially at a restaurant of this reputation and price point.

Unfortunately, this experience did not meet the standard I expected.

We had a wonderful experience at Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Myrtle Beach. We chose to sit in the bar, and everything from start to finish exceeded expectations. The food was outstanding—perfectly prepared, flavorful, and exactly what you’d hope for from Ruth’s Chris. What truly made the evening special, though, was the service. Mel and Courtney went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and friendly personalities elevated the entire experience. A big thank you to both of them for making our visit memorable. We’ll absolutely be back!

My husband and I went to Ruth’s Chris last night, one of our favorite places to go for the food, service, atmosphere and friendly staff. I don’t want to say we are “regulars” however we are. Before going in, we are met by the valet driver with a smile and open door service. We often sit at the bar but it was overflowing so we sat in the dining room. Our experience was exceptional. Phil, Rodina and Matt (I think this is his name, he brought out our entrees and split the seafood trio for us) did an excellent job. After dinner we went to the bar and had a dessert cocktail with Melissa, who always makes us feel special and remembers exactly what we like. Just wanted to give a shout out to all these people who make our experience memorable every visit. The fillet is always exceptional as well so a shout out to the cooks. Thanks again Ruth’s Chris ❤️

During our visit to Myrtle Beach in search of a potential condo, my family and I decided to dine at Ruth’s Chris Steak House—a favorite of ours in other cities, and this location did not disappoint.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the quick seating and the warm welcome from the two friendly hosts. Shortly after, we were introduced to our server, Phil, who truly elevated our dining experience. He was not only exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu but also shared interesting historical facts about the restaurant, showcasing both passion and professionalism. His personable nature made us feel right at home.

As for the meal, we began with a Caesar salad and shrimp cocktail. While the Caesar salad was just average, the shrimp cocktail stood out with its perfectly sized, flavorful shrimp. The highlight, of course, was the steak. My daughter and I each had the petite filet, while my husband tried a special recommended by Phil called the “Cowboy on the Beach.” Phil even brought over a knife box for my husband to select his preferred steak knife—a unique and fun touch. All steaks arrived piping hot and cooked exactly to our preferences. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were excellent accompaniments.

Surprisingly, the star of the evening turned out to be the crème brûlée—absolutely divine and the perfect way to end our meal.

Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience. Thank you to Phil for his outstanding service—it was truly a pleasure.

We were looking forward to a five star dinner. Our server, Jeremy was definitely five stars. But the food was not up to par. We started with the Aji tuna appetizer, which was good. I’m a fan of garlic, which motivated me to order the Seabass. But they use too much garlic in the crust, which overpowers the taste of the fish. My husband, had the cowboy ribeye, which was good. We also had the brussels sprouts side dish. Here again, it was only mediocre. None of the selections were excellent. We expected more when choosing Ruth’s Chris. Maybe it was a bad night in the kitchen?

Had our company holiday dinner yesterday and it was overall a great experience! From start to finish, everything was outstanding. The steak, scallops and stuffed chicken were cooked to perfection, the sides were delicious, and the service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and professional. The server Reginald truly sealed the experience overall; he was very attentive and took all of our needs into consideration. Also Ethan was great!! The atmosphere made for a perfect night out. We truly enjoyed every part of the experience and can’t wait to come back again next year!

My husband and I spent celebrated our first year anniversary/valentines day at Ruth’s Chris in Myrtle Beach. Julia was our server and she was phenomenal! Everyone we encountered had exceptional customer service. The steak melts in your mouth like butter and the mashed potatoes are like clouds! Wonderful experience, will absolutely be back soon.
