After seeing other reviews, I felt compelled to share my experience. I’ve visited this place multiple times since June and never knew the previous owner. In my opinion, I believe half of the negative reviews might be fake. Some seem to miss the old owner dearly, specifically for the way he prepared food over the past 30 years. Anything different isn’t satisfactory for them.
During my recent visit last week, I ordered several dishes: the shrimp wontons were outstanding, a definite 10/10. The sweet and sour pork and the fish with mixed vegetables both rated a solid 9/10. The fried calamari and shrimp toast were good too, scoring 8/10 each. My family and I visited around 3 pm, and the food arrived promptly.
I noticed some complaints about excessive oil on the food, but I didn’t experience that issue as you can see in my photos.
Everything was delicious. We definitely plan to visit again.

King’s Palace offers a welcoming and professional dining experience. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable, the food is well-prepared, and the staff maintains a consistently courteous and efficient presence. A solid choice for both casual and business dining.

I love to order the wonton soup. They’re so close I can walk there, but I do think it needs improvement. I do notice the food has gone a little bit downhill especially the pork fried rice. It used to really be busy in there and nice in there, but it’s really not a good atmosphere anymore Seems like mostly takeout now .

It’s a shame, I really liked this place but I don’t think I could eat here again. My girlfriend found a hair and some sort of fly in her food. We both lost our appetite to say the least. Luckily the hostess at the front desk was super nice and apologetic about it and gave us a refund for the meal.
Hopefully there’s some better quality control for other peoples meals.

Decided to try out the lunch menu since the majority of the chicken items are under $10 and we live 5 minutes away. The chicken was very good. Only white meat was used. The pork fried rice was pretty good with the onion and egg. The wonton soup was good as well. The only complaint would be the hot and sour soup which was very gelatin like and not too sweet or sour. Overall I will definitely be back.

This is by far the worst Chinese food I’ve had in a while, not to mention over priced. Maybe an even worst value proposition. We ordered 6 wings, boneless spare ribs platter combo and shrimp and garlic sauce combo which totaled $38 with tax. The spareribs were completely burnt on both sides barely edible. The shrimp tasted horrible, almost a soap like after taste. The rice was gummy as if reheated. The wonton soup was doughy and broth had no seasoning. Even the egg rolls were stale for Christ sakes, no to mention bad chicken wings, how do you make bad tasting fried wings? We didn’t even get fortune cookies, like really. I hate leaving bad reviews and rarely even review but I had to take the time to let it be known.

Food was good! Felt so rushed though. Here’s your food, here’s your check, get out. Server was as friendly as Nurse Ratched.

I ordered general tso chicken and white rice for take out. It was absolutely delicious!! Yes,there was only 3 pieces of broccoli, but the star of the meal was the chicken. I wish the new owners years of much success ahead of them. Thank you.

Went to Kings Palace for many years ever since I was a kid in middle school growing up in Mount Laurel. Towards the end when Rick the former owner retired the quality had started to dip. New owners came in and were ok, they elevated some things and others weren’t bad but not quite good. Now there are new owners again. I think the food is ok not bad but wasn’t like the old days. I am used to food in the classic paper containers and foil pans for hot entrees. More things are in plastic and that’s not to big of a deal. However it no longer feels like a higher end Chinese restaurant. I used to be ok spending more for the quality they had. Now I would say they are very average.
