My husband and I had dinner here after our long hike. We started wuth the stuffed the mushrooms 9/10 we devoured them so quickly. My husband got the sir loin and let me say it was DELICIOUS!! I ordered the rocky mountain trout-blackened and it was pretty good. I did ask for limes bc i love fish with lemon. But if you come here, get the SIR LOIN! The server was quick and polite. I will say it was a little cold in the dining room area we were placed in (granted its fall in estes so it is expected) but the food kept us warm and cozy! Overall we had a pleasant experience!

My mother and I agree this place was perfect after a long day of shopping. Blackened Trout with a house salad paired with the house red wine was delectable! And if you’re questioning the sides- the premium mashed potatoes will have you wanting seconds.

We stumbled upon The Grubsteak Restaurant while searching for something open nearby, and it turned out to be such a great surprise. The moment we walked in, the cozy, welcoming decor made us feel right at home.
We ordered the Alfredo fettuccine, Beyond Burger, and nachos — and each dish was genuinely impressive. The Alfredo was creamy and perfectly seasoned, the Beyond Burger was flavorful and cooked just right, and the nachos were crisp, loaded, and delicious. You could really tell the care that went into the food.
A huge shout-out to Enzo, who made the entire experience even better with his friendly, attentive, and upbeat service. We left completely blown away by the food and hospitality — definitely a hidden gem worth visiting!

Burgers are bland, not worth 18 dollars a piece. Was forgotten multiple times by server. I dont want to be rude but I was seriously let down by the cute facade. The fries were really good. Salt had jiblets in it for some reason. I also think it is wild to let severs wear sweatpants, I thought one server was a customer due to the casual outfit

Roxana was a wonderful server for our lunch today! Friendly, informative and very knowledgeable about different meat options. She definitely added something great to the incredible food! We chose the Yak burger, not “game-y” at all, potato salad was on point too! We also shared a GrubSteak Philly- also top quality meat, beautiful bell peppers and an ice cold coke to boot!
I look forward to returning in the summer to enjoy that patio they’ve got! FIVE STARS

Daily special seems like a great deal.
Our bottled beers were all lukewarm, only the glass bottle was cool.
Back yard type seating seemed s bit picnic like.

I am very happy with my experience here. I read a bunch of the bad reviews after coming and so I’m just going to state how it went for me. Firstly we were greeted and treated by a wonderful bartender named Rachel. She was quick and attentive. Also a pleasure to speak with. We popped in randomly for their happy hour so my craft draft beer was only 5 bucks. The chicken wings caught my eyes and they did not disappoint. In fact they were some of the best wings me and my companion ever had… certainly the best in all of Estes Park. They have a variety of sauces to choose from that they toss them in. I had two of the four options and I’m honestly already planning to go back to try the other sauces as well. The blue cheese dressing is phenomenal! I’m not a big ranch guy but to me the ranch was good. We also had the pretzels…they were just ok. Pretty hard and a little too salty, certainly edible but nothing to write home about. I am giving 5 stars because of the amazing chicken wings and because Rachel the bartender is a wonderful presence…I can potentially see why some people complain about the service because there was this other annoying guy who clearly worked there but just came over to do nothing but make awkward noise. I feel like the place has amazing potential because it certainly has a cozy rustic vibe. So again five stars for Rachel our excellent bartender, for the delicious wings and great beer, and for the cozy atmosphere. I think their happy hour starts at 3 and ends at 6 but don’t quote me.

10 out of 10 service and the food was amazing! We got the burger & fries special. It did not disappoint! If you are looking for a good burger in Estes Park, go to this restaurant! And if you pay in cash, you get a free dessert! I highly recommend the key lime pie!

We were in the area and wanted to try something a little different, so we chose The Grubsteak Restaurant in Estes. The service and atmosphere were nice as you walked in you were greeted right away the hallway had a few tables. There was an outdoor patio and a bar with more tables, we sat in the bar area. The service from our server was fast. The food was good. The nachos could have made a little better. My spouse and I had the cheddar burger with Buffalo beef. It was juicy and delicious. The restaurant prices are quite high.

Absolutely loved this place! The food was beyond amazing, the atmosphere was extremely fitting, and the service was out of this world. We had an issue with the guacamole burger that almost ended with an ER visit. However, it ended up okay, and they handled the situation with great care. It is really appreciated when staff work us and the issues rather than ignore us and things go wrong. Definitely will be going here again.
