Chanpen Thai Cuisine is my favorite Thai restaurant. The restaurant may not look like much on the outside, but its food is among the best Thai in the Phoenix area. While it is a bit of a drive for me, the drive is worth it.
The restaurant is tiny, with only a few tables and booths to sit at. They are more popular as a takeout restaurant. Both times I have been thus far, I have dined in the restaurant. The first time I went, I got their chicken chow mein, which was some of the best chow mein I have ever had. On my most recent visit, I got their yellow curry with chicken. It was some of the best yellow curry I have ever had. Both dishes were loaded with flavor and tasted authentic. One of my closest friends and his girlfriend came with me, and they said it was some of the best Thai food they have ever had as well.
The service is friendly and efficient. Both times I have walked in, I have been greeted with a warm smile by one of the staff members. I ended up getting there before they opened on my most recent visit, and they apologized for making me have to wait for them to open. However, since it was my day off, I had no issue with waiting, and it was perfect weather out. The wait was worth it.
Both times I have gone there, they have even offered free ice cream, which was a delightful bonus. On the first visit, I had their fried banana with ice cream, and they were a perfect pairing. Highly recommend trying it if you are in the mood for dessert.
For such excellent Thai food, their prices are not only reasonable, but they also have generous portion sizes.
If anyone is looking for a great, authentic Thai restaurant in the Phoenix area, look no further. Chanpen Thai Cuisine is among the best Thai food Arizona has to offer.

Decided to eat here because it had high rating and great reviews. The people did not lie! The parking lot even though it was small was full. The same could be said about the restaurant. And people were waiting at 12:45pm on a week day. We had lunch specials, chicken pad Thai and sweet & sour chicken. Served with a vegetable soup, and strawberry ice cream with nuts. Food was delicious and the perfect temperature. We gave our order while we waited for an available table. Which meant our food came out a minute after we sat down.

Went there with a friend. We were seated immediately and served water with lemon, and a cup of soup. I ordered the mild Pad Thai lunch special with chicken and shrimp and it was delicious! Once we were done with our meal we were served some orange sherbet.

A true hole in the wall restaurant, but definitely worth the experience. There are only five tables in the restaurant, but we didn’t actually have to wait long for seating. Lots of people came in for pick up orders as well. We shared a couple of noodle dishes as well as their spring rolls and they were all very good.

We got the pad Thai and the Khao Soi and liked the pad Thai but LOVED the Khao Soi! Awesome experience. When we visit PHX we will definitely be back! Pui was our server and she was so sweet and wonderful. She even gave us a free order of her favorite drunken noodles when we left because they had made too much!

Highly enjoyed the food and experience here. I got the mixed vegetable stir fry with shrimp and it was delicious! Super quick service and attentive staff. Any time I’m back in Phoenix I’ll be visiting here. Some of the best Thai food I’ve had.

Don’t jugde this book from its cover. It’s a disguise before you enter into a cute, cozy, and nice dining area. It’s small, but the energy and good vibes are felt from everyone as you walk in. Food has a different taste than other Thai places I have visited before. It’s an original homemade flavor that goes perfectly with the family felt service. My new spot to surprise friends and family.
