I recently relocated from Dallas and, based on numerous recommendations and reviews, chose to try Bawarchi for my first biryani experience in the area. Given your reputation, my expectations were understandably high.

When I called to place the order, I specifically asked for a chicken option and was advised to try the Chicken Dum Biryani. I ordered the biryani bucket, anticipating a satisfying and authentic meal.

While I must commend the kitchen on the quality of the chicken—it was well-cooked, tender, and flavorful—the rice was unfortunately undercooked and quite hard. As biryani is as much about the texture and aroma of the rice as it is about the protein, this imbalance significantly detracted from the overall experience. Regrettably, it spoiled what should have been a comforting and memorable introduction to your cuisine.

I share this feedback not merely as a customer, but as someone who values culinary consistency and authenticity. I hope this is taken constructively and helps maintain the standard that has earned Bawarchi its strong reputation.

I would be open to giving it another try and hope this was an isolated issue.

I really do t know how this became Bawarchi brand as I travelled from long way and the food really disappointing me. The biriyani taste was really worst and the meat used for chicken lollipop was not fresh and not cooked well. The mango lassi and karampudi chicken was nice in my order. The ambience was not so good and really the food was not up to my expectations as I heard Bawarchi biriyani tastes like even but this one should be called by that name at all. I don’t know about other dishes but I don’t recommend biriyani and chicken lollipop here in the name or Bawarchi. ( I feel once a person tastes food here he will avoid all Bawarchi biriyani spots thinking it’s sane and this restaurant spoils its brand)

This place is fantastic! The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is great. I’ll definitely be back. The beryami was amazing, and the chicken tikka masala was also really good.

Truly disgusting. We picked up the food around 7pm and by then time we got home to eat it, it smelled funny. My husband still tried it and was so disappointed. The dum mutton biryani had no flavor, full of fat, and all you can taste is saffron. The veggie noodles were Maggie just doctrined up. The chicken 65 was decent but half of it was just fried batter with no chicken. Just isn’t fresh or authentic and clearly just recook old food.

Yes it was this location. I ordered Dum Mutton Biryani, 2 orders of chicken 65, and veggie noodles on 10/ 18 at 6-7pm.

If you’re visiting Atlanta from cities like Dallas and expecting the same authentic Bawarchi taste, you may be disappointed. The flavors were nothing like the Dallas location. The food felt more North Indian in style, and we couldn’t find the authentic South Indian taste we were looking for.

The biryani and curries lacked the depth and spice balance we’re used to. Overall, it didn’t live up to expectations. Hoping they improve the authenticity and consistency in the future.

Just left about 10mins ago, this was our first time eating Indian cuisine and we LOVED IT! We had the butter chicken, rice, and garlic naan. Food was VERY SEASONED NOT OVERSEASONED! And customer service was great, they had no problem explaining to us the different types of entrees! 10/10!

Really a 3.5
Food was delectable. Service was adequate. Prices were appropriate. I cannot complain too much, outside of the time. We called in an order & was told it would take 20 minutes. Got there 20 minutes later & had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the food (for 2 people). It was close to closing & they allowed us to dine in for another 20 minutes so that’s a positive about their grace & service.

Nice ambience, very clean and nice place. Staff are very courteous. Had Chicken lollipop, Chicken fried rice and Mutton Dum Biriyani. Chicken lollipop was a bit over cooked hence hard. Chicken fried rice was ok, lesser oil and soya sauce would have given better taste. The goat dum Briyani was good, flavorful. Salt was slightly more.
