This Denny’s is no longer open 24/7. They close around 12 P.M. Our server was great and friendly. She kept the drinks filled and checked on us several times. My Nachos were ok, but I’ve had better. My wife said her salmon was top notch. Good late night place to get a bite to eat.

This place just reminded me why I don’t eat Denny’s. Ordered eggs over medium on was well done one was over medium. Ordered pancakes the were split apart, the bacon was NOT bacon. It was rubbery and undercooked, couldn’t even eat it. Then my Mom got a salad and again who wants soggy bacon on a salad. I definitely will go another 10 years never eating Denny’s again. Ughhhh

Barbara Jean was our waitress and she was so pleasant, attentive, and kind. Thank you for making a cold, windy Saturday morning warm and welcoming.

Ordered my food betweeen the color of the table & her shirt which is black & asked her please don’t bring it unless it’s that color & this is what I got.
Edited to add::: the manager William was very apologetic and offered to personally remake my order which I declined. I don’t ever let anyone remake a wrong order. He also took it off the bill. The manager is a VERY nice man!

My coworker and I each ordered a grand slam burrito with coffee. The burrito is supposed to come with: bacon, sausage crumbles, scrambled eggs, hash browns, melted cheese, and a warm flour tortilla with salsa but we got a big burrito that wasn’t cut or browned. It was full of plain unseasoned hash browns, no cheese, no bacon, two or three crumbles of sausage. I haven’t eaten at Dennys in years and won’t eat here again, so gross.

We came in on a Thursday night it took 15-20 minutes just to get our drink order, then another 10-15 minutes for our food order, and about 20 minutes for our food to arrive. They weren’t very busy and the lady who was supposed to be our waitress said she would get to us when she had a chance. Yet she took food and drink orders from tables that came in way after us. Instead of the waitress, it was the hostess who had to come take our orders. When the food finally arrived it was barely warm, the hashbrowns were almost burnt with some of them being burnt, the gravy was very watered down, and the chicken fried steak was tiny compared to IHOP’s, the omelet was about half the size it usually is. When we asked for butter for our pancakes she grabbed the plate and put way too many scoops of butter on it. We ended up finding very hard plastic inside one of our pancake meals. Never once did they ask if we needed refills or check in to see if we needed anything after giving us our food. We waited for the check but it never came we finally had to go up the the desk to get it. Overall it was a disappointing experience compared to the prior visits. (Pictures posted of meals and plastic found)

Awful. Steak ordered Medium, came out WELL DONE. My husband noted that he wasn’t hammered as bad as that steak, at his 40th birthday party. Side salad – lettuce was so wet and disgusting, it watered down the ranch dressing so much, he needed to ask for a 2nd one. Still gross, so he didn’t eat the salad. The garlic bread was so hard, you couldn’t even bite it, and we were able to “bang” it on the table. It appears when you order a $20 overcooked T-bone steak, that “comes with” 2 sides, you, actually pay separately for the sides. A total waste of $85 with the tip, which I was advised we shouldn’t tip, but I can’t be that person. You have been warned, Beware!!!

This was my first time back eating at Danny’s, after not going to one for 6 years. The service was great. Our server was on top of everything. As for the food. I feel like they’ve gone downhill quite a bit from what I remember them being. I’m starting off with my dish. I ordered their Denver omlett with red skinned potato’s. They potato’s weren’t bad. they had a couple that were a bit too crispy, but that’s bound to happen. As for the omlett, I was not impressed. There were way too many onions in it. Too many as in half of the omlett was sautéed onions. The cheese was terrible. As you can see in the picture, it was barely even melted. Plus, it looks like it was just Kraft American. Moving on to the second dish, which I unfortunately didn’t get a picture of. It was the berry pancakes with bacon. The bacon was bland. No flavor at all. Not even a hint of bacon taste to it. As for the pancakes, it was supposed to be blueberry pancakes. It ended up still being blueberry pancakes, but the center was the only part that had blueberries. The diner itself was pretty clean and welcoming, but the restrooms were a horror story. I expect maybe a porta-john to smell and look unsanitary but not a restroom in a dinner.

Denny’s is a “go to” for good, but simple meals. Their menus offer most anything one may want at a decent price.
Barbara Jean works hard to keep her customers happy, it’s a pleasure to talk with her. From what I’ve seen ALL of the employees work hard to make their customers happy. If you’re in the mood for good food try the Denny’s in Salem, Virginia

By far the worst Dennys experience Ive ever had. 1st they were out of most things on menu. 2nd we waited forever for sampler to finally be told theyre out of mozzarella sticks. 3rd I ordered 2 steaks medium rare but they were served raw(on individual dessert plates). I asked to have them put on a for a couple more min. Instead I waited about 30 min to get 2 new steaks that were so overdone that I couldnt even eat them (i tried). I saw the waitress and cook kept putting takeout orders on counter so my steaks obviously werent a priority. The condiments were empty too. The waitress gave us the check and saw the sliced up uneaten burnt steak and didnt even acknowledge it. We were one of the only ones there and this fiasco kept us there for 90 min @ midnight. Ruined my night. Really bad!!!
