They definitely know the locals who come in. The lady that brought chips and salsa then took our drink order didn’t say much. Another lady took our food order and was friendly.
Personally, I didn’t care for the rice and beans, but the chicken flautas on the lunch menu were very good.
The salsa is spicy, which I really like.
My dad ordered the sloppy nachos and he said he liked those.

I had lunch here on 3/8 around noon. We found a seat, and the staff welcomed us warmly. The salsa had a kick to it, and it was delicious. I ordered the number 42, or “el pollo loco.” It was absolutely fantastic! So good! Just one thing: They only take cash, but they have an ATM inside the restaurant. So either come with cash, or be prepared to be charged by the ATM. Either way, this is an excellent restaurant located in a small town.

Food is Amazing but the owners and staff are not the least bit friendly. Very stand-offish and quite rude at times.
We eat here a lot because of the food, it is quite delicious. The bacon wrapped chicken breast with cheese and jalapeños is a must. And the queso…oh the queso.

Cold Walmart taco shells straight out of the box. Not even heated before adding ingredients which were blah.
Prices way high for small portions and below average food.
Waitress never asked one time how the food was, if we needed anything, etc. The service business is a lost art.
Hard to believe this place hasn’t gone belly up.

We stopped in on our way through. This hole in the wall restaurants has very good food! Everyone seems to know everyone here.
The salsa has a kick to it, I don’t care for spicy, but I enjoyed this salsa. It’s even better with lime juice added to it. We had the fajitas for two, which was good, but it needs more to it. My husband and I were competing for the last of it, lol.

This little unassuming restaurant on Business 287 in Grapeland is well worth the stop. Authentic Mexican food served piping hot and pretty fast. The inside is clean and pleasant but could be livened up with brighter colors and Mexican decor. But that really doesn’t matter because you go there for the delicious food. We went in super hungry because we hadn’t eaten lunch – came away stuffed! We will go again and again

Love going here, it’s our go to lunch spot!! I will say if you choose to get carry out, be cautious paying with a card. They will add their own tip without your consent and I’ve had them do it at 50%. Not the proper way to run a business, most definitely not the way to treat a regular customer.

Still a great place to eat. The food is always piping hot and fresh. Good variety of food and the wait staff friendly and patient. Still recommend this as a great venue.
Great food and service for a small town. We dined here last Fall (2020) and again on Sept.3, 2021 while visiting Salmon Lake Park. Very friendly staff, courteous and the food was really good. We had the fajitas for two and they came out hot and tasty. Really like the home made tortillas. The chicken and beef fajita meat was tender and great tasting. Kudos to this place for continuing great service, friendly atmosphere, and quality food!

I love this little restaurant! It is my favorite place to go for the combo 11 without lettuce. They remember you and how you order. Polite and courteous!
