In a world where grabbing a hamburger means eating something that probably does not contain beef this place is an amazing throw back.
I was told while passing thru Andrews this is the place to stop so I did.
I was not disappointed.
The food is amazing. The atmosphere is your car so there is nothing to complain about.
It’s old and not the flash that a chain has but you can tell the food is made to order.
When is the last time you had an actual steak finger that did not come out of a bag?
Literally everything here is homemade and amazing.
I had to test them all.
Hamburger was what a hamburger should be. Perfect pickles onions and sauces all the way around. Nothing fancy just a great burger.
Onion ring, wow. Just perfect. I personally remember the big flaky homemade onion rings but these are a close second.
The steak fingers are literally steak. Imagine chicken fried steak that you can eat while driving.
Overall blown away.
The ordering is a little funky if you have never been there but they make it work. Again this isn’t a chain

It’s just plain weird. The steak fingers are still good enough, but it’s a really weird experience. It’s nothing like it was 25 years ago for sure!
The pricing showing on the menu on Google Maps versus what you actually pay is almost double, the building is run down really bad, there’s no dine-in options, and you can’t even figure out how to get your order because there are multiple locked doors, non-operable windows, etc.
it has the vibe that it’s a failing operation at this point, and that saddens me, because it hasn’t always been that way.

Excellent steak fingers. Best I’ve ever had. It’s a drive in so no atmosphere. But the lady that takes your order was very friendly and did her job well.

The restaurant prepares every order fresh to order, which I really appreciate. I enjoyed the transparency in the preparation of the fish sandwich, and the fried okra was delicious. The next time I’m craving a fish sandwich, I’ll definitely be back. This is one of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever had! I love the Texas toast used for the bun.

A friend of mine loves this place, so when I was passing through Andrews, I decided to give it a try. It’s a junkie drive-in. However, there’s a reason they have a reputation for having some of the best steak fingers anywhere. The dining room was closed, but there was a young man and woman taking orders and delivering the food to the vehicles. I ordered the steak fingers dinner. It was humongous. Easily enough for a couple of meals. It comes with Texas toast, country gravy, and french fries, but I opted to upgrade to onion rings. The onion rings were wonderful. The gravy was wonderful. The steak fingers were definitely some of the best I’ve ever had. They were crispy and well seasoned. If I had one complaint, it’s that several of mine were very tough to chew.

The service there was great and on point and quick which is always good, but the Famous Steak fingers used to be so much better and cooked with love. Although, they aren’t terrible, they do leave much to be desired Nowadays.

Tried their famous steak fingers; they were good. Not something I would usually order, but tasty. Service was friendly. Take out only; no tables, inside or out.
If you are a fan of steak fingers (thin strips of beef, breaded and deep fried, served with gravy & French fries) you should definitely stop ar Buddy’s.

As always, the steak fingers did not disappoint! I just pulled up and a young man walked to the truck to take my order. 10-15 minutes later he returned with my order and to collect payment. I noticed a sign that stated they no longer have a dine-in option available.

Steakfingers were legit. And more than enough — I think 8 (and each pretty big). Gravy was on point, toast was delicious. Fries could have used some salt. $13 was a little steep, but still happy with it. For the out-of-towners (like me), you need to park in front of the building (not along the side), and it doesn’t hurt to call in your order (area code 432, rest of the number is on the building.) But someone will come up to your window to help you.
