Today was my first visit. My parents have been coming here for years and rave about the place. We were welcomed and seated promptly.

The manager, Alice, recognized my dad and called him by name. She visited our table to express genuine interest in the newcomer and engaged in a brief conversation.

The drinks were ordered arrived promptly. My frequent experience at many diners is having to request refills on my coffee. Today the team was very mindful and prompt at offering refills. Another wonderful surprise was the offer of creamer for the coffee and jellies for the biscuit. All too often elsewhere I need to ask and seldom get a full stack of options. Another positive sign.

The food order was taken and promptly delivered hot. I buttered the second half of my biscuit and it was still warm enough to melt the butter .

My dish included sausage links which were well prepared and tasty. The hash browns were golden brown, lightly crunchy, and delicious. The eggs were scrambled and perfectly prepared.

My dad offered a piece of bacon from his plate. I’m a bit of a bacon snob. I like it thick and rarely see that at most diners. This bacon was thick and well cooked…firm, and thankfully not overdone.

Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.

I’m sure dad and I will return when I come back to town for a visit.

I had a fantastic experience at Elmer’s Restaurant. I ordered the egg, ham, and sausage bowl, and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, hearty, and full of great flavor. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive.

Overall, a wonderful place to enjoy a satisfying meal. Highly recommend!

Came to Elmer‘s twice while I was in town. Once for dinner, delicious crab Cobb salad. Fresh crab fresh greens. Second time was for breakfast. I would say there’s nothing really light on the menu to order, but I had the potato cakes with eggs and bacon, and it was pretty darn good. I will eat here again when I’m in town.

Carrie is a great waitress. She is Warm and welcoming. This restaurant was nice, warm and inviting. I absolutely love the fireplace. The menu contained a nice variety of options. Today I have the potato pancakes. I haven’t had potato pancakes so many years. The food was very good and I am quite appreciative. Thank you Elmer’s and good job

Was looking for a “down home” feels and Elmers went above and beyond. Food was fresh with a dash of fancy; staff was kind and welcoming and the atmosphere was chill and clean. My daughter commented several times: “better than black bear.” I have to agree. 10/10

I wanna start out with, it was raining and I was pushing my mother in law, in her wheelchair, towards the entrance and The Hostess (i believe her name was Brandy) saw us ahead of time and quickly held the door open for us .
I appreciated that so much.

We were quickly sat and had drinks almost immediately. They were packed but we were able to order and get our food very quickly.

The food was AMAZING! I can not wait to visit again. Best service ever.

My friend and I visist this place about every couple of months. The food is always consistently excellent. The staff is alway accommodating. We usually like to share an omelet to save our calories…lol. One thing Elmers knows is how to make an omelet and the pancakes are perfect every time. Not too heavy a perfect balance of fluffy wonderfulness!! The staff in the morning are always friendly and just this right amount. Of attentiveness. Good Jobe guys!! Give these folks a try you won’t be disappointed.

I enjoy the clam chowder. I have had it here at least 4 times. Not very warm each time. I like my soup hot. Each time, I have to return it to be reheated in the microwave. Other than that…. Great soup – Great Service…. but ……

What this review is about …. is breakfast!!!

My wife and I arrived about 12:30pm and decided to have breakfast. I like to joke and enjoy service a little on the sassy side. I was not disappointed. Server was very pleasant and very timely. I asked for “soft” scrambled eggs. I am very specific in my food orders because I like my food a very specific way. (Just ask my wife …. and since I’m paying a premium price… I should get it the way I ordered….) I asked the Server why my wife got more hash browns than I (lol) She immediately … in her best scolding adult voice said “she did not, I’ll return and see if you finish all of yours…” (lol…. I am 74 years old…)
The eggs were NOT SOFT…. and the hash browns were barely brown (the brown in “hash brown” was left in the kitchen). I soon, let the Server know who immediately offered to order a new plate. At the time, I wasn’t complaining as much as I was advising (educating)… I advised that I would make due. As I got into the hash browns though, they were barely warm on the outside (ergo the lack of “brown”) and had quite a bit of moisture (water) in the middle and was cold. I decided I needed a new order of “hash browns”… to which the Server was very happy to accomodate. The biscuit and gravy had little warmth…. just sayin’ ….

I was very happy with the server (20%+ gratuity) although there might be a concern whether she was happy with me… but I wasn’t happy with the service from the kitchen. I will return for my reheated soup, but definitely not for breakfast. The price is a little high compared to other restaurants for breakfast.

What an awesome experience to eat at Elmer’s. The service was top-notch, right down to the management helping out everyone else. The restaurant felt so relaxing and peaceful. I had the shrimp and fish and chips. I did expect more, I guess. Everything was perfectly cooked and flaky, don’t get me wrong. However, it was just bland. The tartar sauce and cocktail sauce helped, but they were not fresh. I also tried one of the omelets with avocado that my wife ordered, and I had the same opinion. It was very well-cooked, with no complaints there, just bland. The service, as I said, was amazing, and it will bring me back each time I am through the Medford area.

Pleasant menu with some unusual options. Got the cinnamon roll pancakes which had a delightful variance of textures and flavours across each pancake. Syrup and cream cheese glaze were both on point. Whipped cream met a slow, sliding end, but was no less delicious because of it.
