This Mexican food restaurant is in the older part of Ventura referred to as The Avenue. The food is authentic Mexican, with a typical Mexican décor that you would expect to see in Mexico. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food was exceptionally good and made to order. The prices are reasonable and it’s a nice family atmosphere as well.

El Asadero is the real definition of it doesn’t matter what’s on the outside but what’s on the inside this place might look intimidating but the food here is so good I got myself an al pastor quesadilla and it’s one of the best ones I’ve had in Ventura. food is served very hot like how food is suppose to be served I will definitely be back to try out more things from the menu. I highly recommend trying this place out you won’t be disappointed.

Just had an asada burrito and the people that say they have the best in town aren’t lying. Melt in your mouth steak, friendly service, and the red sauce put it over the top. Best I’ve ever had.

Came to this restaurant after a trip to the beach and it didn’t disappoint. We asked for a burrito mojado with half and half red/green sauce and the owner was very happy to give it a shot even though they normally don’t offer this. The food was very flavorful, the meat was tender and fresh tasting. I will definitely be coming back here.
