I am not going to talk about the delicious food here, because that part is already well understood. Instead, I want to highlight a few things that, as diners, we often take for granted and sometimes overlook.

I have been coming here randomly about six times since they opened, and that consistency is impressive. Portions are steady, service feels genuine, and every dish arriving at the table shows care. Nothing pretentious, just honest food that makes you smile and feel comfortable.
Creativity, done right
There is a clear respect for classic dishes, and that is not easy to pull off. The kitchen hits the right notes without overcomplicating things. The cioppino stood out in particular, a humble yet elegant seafood broth I have only ever tried in San Francisco, the birthplace of the dish. The resemblance was remarkable, and the quality of the ingredients was outstanding. I felt the same attention in the chowder and even in the cocktails, where every spice and component seems thoughtfully chosen to deliver a specific experience.
Care and attention to detail
This one is easy to notice. The owner is present, engaged, and clearly invested. You can tell when someone genuinely cares and takes pride in what they are doing, without big fuss or trying to be something they are not. We chose Bow & Stern for our 5th wedding anniversary dinner and we were incredibly happy that we did. Our server was super sweet and friendly and the food was absolutely delectable!! My husband started with a cup of the chowder and I with a small ceasar salad. For our mains I had the seafood linguine and he had the Arctic char with risotto. Both were cooked perfectly, very flavorful and filling! Highly highly recommend!

The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were kind and accommodating even bringing us a second round of warm chips for our dip!
I had the sea food linguini priced at ($34) which was delicious; they added plenty of fish, mussels and other seafood!

I wanted to try this because I heard so much about this restaurant and how good the food was. To be honest I wasn’t that impressed. It felt like a fast food restaurant trying to pretend it was fancy. The clam chowder was very thick and pasty lacking the chowder taste. The baja baja shrimp tacos were quite good and my husband ordered the steak and lobster for $84. It was good. For $84 the steak and lobster should be excellent. Our bill for 2 drinks, 2 applies, 2 mains was $184. I don’t mind spending money on good food, but for this price the food quality, portion size, presentation did not fit the bill. I’m glad others found it to their liking, for me personally, you can find a better steak and lobster for cheaper.

Unfortunately, the brunch was really underwhelming. I was so excited to try their Pancakes, which were supposedly made out of sour cream and described as “fluffy”. But honestly, they were so dense and even cutting into them was hard. The syrup wasn’t absorbing into them because of the texture and they were just really dry and unenjoyable. The Bacon Benny was decent, but I found it strange that their “seasoned smashed browns” were literally just boiled and seasoned potatoes; I was expecting some sort of hash browns. There was also only one server for all the tables… She was trying her best but service was slow. Honestly not somewhere I’d go for brunch again, the only good thing I’ve had here is the Poke Bowl and the chocolate pudding.

Went to Bow & Stern with my wife for a dinner. It was our first time, the location is well set up, modern and an excellent vibe on a Saturday night.
The food was excellent! Ordered a 10oz Striploin and Prawns – deeeeeeelicious 10 outta 10 would eat steaks and seafood from this location again. Watching many other plates being served I am very curious to try other items off their menu next time. Our food had amazing presentation and filling quantities including side dishes (mashed potatoes/vegetables)
The service is amazing, personable and professional and efficient! Our server made sure to be on top of refreshing our beverages and ensuring we were having a great experience which we did!
