Drinks were good, slightly over priced. Food was pretty good and the combination is a good deal. Cod tacos- 10/10 excellent and would absolutely get again. Mozzarella sticks were the good kind (battered not crumb coated) but over cooked so half the cheese had been fried out. Marinara is super oregano heavy but the ranch is good (costs extra.) Tots were also 10/10 and cooked perfectly. We ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza, but received the honey garlic chicken pizza. Having never been there we didn’t realize the error until eating it and trying to find the bacon and ranch. Wouldn’t get it again.
There is a combination option that offers a half an appetizer for an additional cost- 1/2 pound wings for $9.99. They were good, but VERY overpriced. 4 wings were a half a pound. The server returned after taking our order (we waited eons to even order watching her walk by and look at us with our phones put away and just visiting) to tell us we could have the wings OR one of the items ordered. We tried to explain the option on the menu and she left… she never returned to tell us it was taken care of. Our wings came out, but not our Mozzarella sticks. After asking about the mozz sticks the server said the kitchen messed up… they came out with our meal. Seemingly, the server never even put them in until i asked about them. The food wasn’t brought by our server, and she didn’t come by to check on us until we were nearly done. When mentioning the error on the pizza, the server was unaware there were even 2 chicken pizzas and rolled her eyes and said the kitchen messed up and left- zero offer of fixing it or apologizing. She did come back 7-8 minutes later (we already cleaned up the table/stacked dishes and were clearly done) to ask if we wanted the pizza made correctly. The receipt isnt itemized so im not sure which pizza she chose. The food was good, the service was awful. Server was an older woman, tiny frame, with burgundy ish hair in low pig tails.
EDIT AFTER RESPONSE- to clarify, the server did not do anything to rectify the pizza problem until we were ready to go by offering a new one to be made. It took quite a while for the food to come out as it was and we were staying in a hotel. We wanted to dine in, not store food in the hotel mini fridge. We paid full price for our entire meal. We are from out of town and after the horrible service and servers annoyance at the mistakes it seemed confrontational and difficult to further deal with the server. Never trying to be a Karen, just want the food and service we’re paying for.
I ordered a Reuben you cook yourself on a stone. Good taste with a good side salad which was good sized with many and varied vegetables.
I was just recently here for dinner and ordered the Cali Cajun chicken sandwich, which I have many times before. Took a few bites before I realized the center of the sandwich was completely raw. This was after they delivered the completely wrong meal for my daughter. They offered to remake my sandwich and I declined – at that point I was too stunned and panicked that I ate raw chicken.
I wish I could say this was a one off, but unfortunately it seems every time we go, something goes wrong. Usually can look past forgetting to remove the olives from a salad or a long wait for food. We’re all human. But when it’s a matter of food safety and I no longer feel confident in what I’m feeding myself or my family, that’s a problem.
While I will not be returning, I hope DK can figure it out. This is a local establishment I’m sad to see go downhill.
(1) Some variety of food
Cons:
(1) Superrrrr Smokey food that people can order and it just fills the air with choking smoke
(2) Needs better sound absorption
Staff is super friendly though and helpful with making recommendations
Got the carnitas burrito, very good and the hash browns are really crispy
