Casual bar and restaurant. Good food. Not a ton of variety, but tasty. They’re very proud of the tenderloin. Feels a bit rundown in parts but that seems to add rather then detract from the overall experience.

The bartender was awesome. Everyone smiled at our daughter. Our food was cooked to perfection. Our kids ate every bite.
I knew there was a pool tournament going on and I wasn’t sure how busy it was going to be, thankfully there was a separate room for the tournament.
It was a very nice mellow environment with that small town bar feel you always want.

On June 29 my husband & I stopped here for dinner. 5-stars to Hanna, our server and bartender, she was attentive and friendly. 5-stars to Parker, the cook/chef for preparing the best broasted chicken we have ever had and we have tried many at numerous restaurants around the country. 0-stars for atmosphere, we sat next to a booth of older aged locals, they were loud and foul mouth the entire time we ate. After we ate, we sat at the bar to get away from them. When the owner walked in the foul mouth locals stopped swearing and most of them left.

My father lives in Iowa, he takes me to the O-Zone when I come to visit. This Tavern has the best Chicken in Iowa! Great Flavor and cook to perfection, golden brown, moist and tender. I’ve had chicken from all over and can’t find anything as good as their Broasted Chicken. Great Tavern atmosphere, nothing fantasy but worth stopping by for the Chicken, and the small-town experience.
