I went in a few days ago and told the staff member I needed cupcakes and a custom cake for my grandson birthday. I expressed the party was in Sunday, and I also needed cupcakes for his pre-k class on Monday. I told her my grandson loves dinasaurs, she found the perfect picture for his cake. The cake was absolutely delicious and the picture was a perfect match. The cake and cupcake combination was perfect. I ordered vanilla cake with butter cream and strawberry filling. Everyone at the party wanted to know where was the cake and cupcake purchased. I highly recommend La Bon in South Plainfield. The service exceeded my expectation.

I loved the cake I ordered for my Galentines Party! It was just like the Pinterest photos I sent over for inspo and was just as yummy! I ordered a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and strawberries, bananas and vanilla custard as the fillings. Such a gorgeous delicious cake for only $60! When I inquired from bakeries in north jersey, they all quoted me for over $100 for this type of cake. I just got lucky that I grew up going to La Bon bakeries since my parents live in the area. Thank you so much, La Bon!!!

Supposedly the donuts come fresh everyday, ( i don’t believe it) i came here at 11am on a monday. i ordered a bread and butter and after i payed the cashier proceeds to tell me they have no butter. (not the cashiers fault) but how does the bakery not have butter at 11 am on a monday???? Terrible preparation and this donut is stale and cold. Great service though but the desserts in there are overpriced

This was a cute little bakery. I ordered a junior strawberry shortcake in advance for my daughter’s birthday and it was excellent. Fresh cream and strawberries sliced into the cake. I got a coffee roll while there and it was also delicious. Customer service was great as well.

Got a loaf of Italian bread and a gluten free chocolate cake for my familys Christmas party. My family loves cutting thick heels of Italian bread to make meatball subs, however, the workers sliced my loaf without asking me, which was really upsetting. I’ve never been to a bakery that slices my bread loaf, but maybe its because this isn’t an Italian bakery. They were busy so I just took the loaf, but it went mostly to waste as we couldn’t use it how we wanted.
The gluten free chocolate cake was a massive hit. Very dense, but very delicious.

Any of their bakery will satisfy your taste buds for dessert. Cakes, cookies, donuts… no exceptions… This location has been a long time, just like the one at 2062 NJ-27, Edison. I have visited both from 25 years ago… Brown Dirby cake is me and my wife’s favorite!!!
