The valet on site is a huge plus and makes arrival super convenient. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and the staff throughout the evening was welcoming and professional.
The food truly stood out. Everything was flavorful, well-portioned, and thoughtfully put together. Highly recommend the broiled oysters, lobster crab cake, crab bisque, center-cut filet, and ahi tuna — all were delicious. Even better, everything came out quickly and at the perfect temperature.
Daniel was our server and he was fantastic — very attentive, personable, and kept things flowing smoothly without being intrusive.
The atmosphere does lean toward the louder side, so it’s probably not the best spot if you’re looking for a super intimate or quiet evening.
One small hiccup: our reservation was initially for a standard table, but we were first directed to a high-top. After clarifying the reservation details, the hostess did correct it and seated us appropriately.
Our booth table itself was clean, but the bench seating and the floor underneath could use a bit more attention. There was a piece of bread under the table (from a crab bisque — we recognized it because we ordered one) that had been dropped and crushed, which likely hadn’t been noticed during turnover.
Overall, the food and service were strong enough that we’d definitely return — just hoping for a bit more consistency on seating and table-area cleanliness next time.
Chaz (I think that’s the spelling) was our waiter. He was awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable, and offered great information and recommendations.
Started with spicy tuna bites and oysters casino. I had a glass of Brut Rosé Cava and Alex had the special chocolate cake martini.
Would have loved if the spicy tuna was served on crispy rice versus cold sushi rice, but it was fresh and flavorful nonetheless. The special oysters casino was so good! Perfect blend of textures, brine, fat, and acid.
For our meal, I had steak frites (med rare) and Hubs had steakhouse burger. He cleared his plate. I was stuffed and took half home. My steak was cooked perfectly. I loved the steak sauce it came with and I typically don’t. I would have loved some type of umami added to the fries (personal preference). All was fresh and good! We split a bottle of Orin Swift Abstract for our meal.
We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to space out courses/drinks as desired. Dessert looked great, but we were full.
We ubered there and back. Arrival at 5:15 was easy, but leaving at 7:15 – the area was very busy and crowded. They offered free valet, but you’d need to factor in traffic to your arrival/departure if valeting or looking for parking.
Would definitely return!
The steakhouse burger was absurdly juicy, perfectly cooked, and pure indulgence. The lobster mac with shrimp was rich, creamy, and stacked with seafood. Comfort food turned luxury. Their specialty cocktails like the Moonchild and Viva were perfectly crafted it was hard not to order another. Chef AZN shared they serve same-day harvest oysters from local Peerless Oyster Company, and that level of freshness shows in every single bite. If you are eating in Raleigh and not coming here, you’re doing it wrong.
The truffle parmesan fries did not seem to have enough (?) truffle oil or parmesan and so, was underwhelming. The volcano bites had rice that was overcooked or stale (maybe).
Both versions of their creme brulee were tasty and done right. The chocolate brulee was not as rich as expected; perfect to my taste.
I ended up boxing my entree (stuffed chicken with goat cheese served with a type of pasta I can’t remember the name of), after one bite. Hoping it tastes better tomorrow.
The place is beautiful and spacious enough, with dimmed lights and very welcoming staff. Our waitress Nya, (may have misspelled) was extremely friendly, patient, attentive to our needs and quickly remedied our issues with warm smiles and banter.
