The atmosphere was absolutely sublime, a perfect 10! Surrounded by beautiful hanging flowers, a candlelight lantern on every table and flowers add the extra touch. The service, was just ok…. while understandable given the busy Valentine’s Day weekend, was still exceptional, but not superb, especially considering it was a Sunday. The calamari was a masterpiece, crispy and bursting with flavor. My salmon fillet from the Valentine’s Day menu, adorned with caviar, was divine, although it did have a few more bones than l’d anticipated for a fillet. Nonetheless, it was still incredibly delicious. My son’s Porterhouse steak, however, was a showstopper, a well-deserved 10 with a blackberry sauce that was simply outrageous. The halibut was a highlight, served with artichoke and full of flavor. The first halibut had to be given back, since they had two one on the special Valentine’s Day menu and the other on just the everyday menu. Even the little one enjoyed their chicken fingers with fries, a truly delightful treat. The tiramisu was delicious and ice cream … incredible.

Restaurant is very photogenic inside and out! So floral and enchanting! The food was good but some dishes could have been better. I ordered the grilled veal chops with the veggies and mashed potatoes and the meat was too salty for me but overall it was delicious. Remember not every experience will be the same. Restaurants don’t always have the same person making a certain dish so definitely try them out for yourself! I loved the bread they gave at the start it was so fresh! They also give you some olives with it too which was tasty. I loved the beef short ribs and cocktails were on point! I had the snowflake martini, if you love coquito or coconut with cinnamon, you would love it! The orange sorbet wasn’t the best. The shots were so good loved the mango juice at the bottom! If you hate cooking for the holidays then just make a reservation with them to do your family dinner at Lagar. It is also great for birthdays and girls night out they have good deals. Servers were very attentive, service was very nice and welcoming. Would love to try what other dishes they have as well as their appetizers!

We recently celebrated my mom’s surprise birthday at Lagar, and I cannot praise them enough. Everything was absolutely spectacular. From my very first meeting with the manager and working Boris to the actual event, the attention to detail was flawless.
The food was amazing, the drinks were perfect, and the entire team worked seamlessly to make us feel welcome. A huge shoutout to Lucy, she was incredibly patient and attentive to our entire party. It’s rare to find a place that takes service this seriously, and everyone in my group hasn’t stopped raving about it. Thank you, Lagar and Lucy, for making this milestone so unforgettable! 10/10

Celebrated my birthday today. Our server John was very friendly attentive and made great recommendations. Service was top notch. The standard Portuguese dishes were excellent. Highly recommend the garlic shrimp, caldo verde. Loved the oxtail special that was available today.

I tried the steak with eggs along with the sliders, and each bite was full of flavor. The drinks were super refreshing and perfectly made. The bottomless mimosas were totally worth it. The staff were warm, friendly, and made my special day even more memorable. Truly a wonderful experience!
