Lovely breakfast place with a hometown feel! We were greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. The food came out fast and was definitely fresh! He ordered the chipotle crispy chicken biscuit with pickles and it looked amazing. Plenty of pickles and the sauce was very tasty! I got the hot honey crispy chicken biscuit. Everything was fantastic I would just have liked a little more sauce on it, though that’s totally on me I could’ve asked for extra sauce on the side. My only complaint is I wish the coffee options were better. Will definitely be back!

This place is scrumptious! Perfect for a quick tasty breakfast! I got the biscuit pot pie, and it was exactly what I needed! Biscuit was flaky and delicious, mixed with gravy, egg and cheese!
When you walk in, you order at the counter and they will bring you your food. Drinks are bottled. All in all there is a great selection of food!

Food was great. The biscuit and chicken we fresh and cooked to perfection. Awkward dining in on the weekend, needs more seating. If you have a table there is a line of people staring at you to finish and ready to pounce as soon as they think you should be done eating. There is no organization to waiting for a table, first to pounce wins, which is uncomfortable. We were waiting for our food and a table, a guest left, so we went to sit there and some lady who just arrived tried to aggressively take it first. We just wanted breakfast not a showdown.

The biscuits are huge! However, my sandwich was spicy when I ordered a regular.

It’s close quarters. You have to literally fight for a table. People are generally nice enough, but when you have a room squeezed full of hungry people, sometimes people get hangry.

Also, most of the tables seat 4 people. Most of the people waiting for a seat were couples. I wish it made sense.

Wow! Just check out the size of these pancakes. Give them a try you’ll be satisfied. However, when biscuits in the name your biscuit better be game and unfortunately, my biscuit was overcooked.

No complaints about the eggs, the bacon was a little thin, and the hash brown was average.

Go with the pancakes!

I was in a big hurry when I posted the stars for the review. I just want to say that this place takes the cake! I had such an amazing visit here and the wait staff and everyone was so wonderful. This could very well be a place where you can go every single day or every week and never get tired of it. I urge you to go and try it out. You won’t be sorry it is out of this world! Almost too good to be true!

What an amazing breakfast spot in Grandin! Service was excellent, fast, and easy! The namesake, the biscuits, are fantastic! They are without a doubt homemade and fresh. Biscuits are large and the portions given, such as the biscuits and gravy, are large and filling. They also have pancakes and fresh toast, along with breakfast tacos too. They were extremely well staffed also. Certainly worth stopping in if you are in the area.

During my first trip to Roanoke, I searched online for a breakfast spot, hoping to find one that wasn’t a chain or something new to me. Scratch Biscuit Company popped up with good reviews.
It is a small restaurant with a hometown feel. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. One thing on the website that drew my attention was the catfish biscuit. I’ve had catfish for breakfast but not on a biscuit. I had to try it. I also ordered the fried apples. My husband ordered his basic favorite of bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit.
When they brought the food to the table, I’m sure our eyes nearly popped out of our head. The biscuits were humongous. The picture doesn’t do it justice. I immediately regretted ordering the apples because I knew I wouldn’t be able to finish the biscuit.
The food was superb…10 out of 10. The biscuit practically melted in your mouth. The fish was tender, and the sauce was a great addition to the biscuit. The apples were good, too. I was glad I ordered the after all even though I didn’t finish them. I told my husband that I felt like I was in Texas, where everything is bigger. The portions were generous, and the cost was inexpensive… more than worth it.
I look forward to returning next year when we will be back in the area and anytime after that.
To the staff, thank you for an unforgettable delicious meal and excellent customer service!

Well what can I say? This place is AMAZING. I ordered the Cajun catfish biscuit and it was out of this world! My husband and I stopped by this place for brunch on our way through Roanoke and our only regret is not getting another biscuit to go!

The Fried Cajun Catfish Biscuit with a chipotlé sauce and the orange sunrise juice were good. No complaints there. (4 stars)

Good things to know before you go:
The bacon was not cooked enough (our preference is a little crispy) and we asked if they could cook it more. They said no because it is cooked in batches.
Husband asked for soft scrambled eggs but was informed they are made in batches as well. (2 stars)
