Pretty disappointed this time. Ordered General Tso’s and it was basically all breading with barely any chicken.
The food just wasn’t good, and the quality feels like it’s gone downhill a lot.
Used to like this place, but I wouldn’t come back after this experience.

For quick (and I really mean quick!) inexpensive takeout, this is the place. Literally just a hole in the wall, it serves delicious food. The egg roll was a bit greasy though, but I guess that’s what is to be expected. They do give you a sharable amount of food though, especially for a lunch meal. I recommend the egg foo Yung and the beef and broccoli. The hot & sour soup is also a great choice.

I’ve been coming here from when I used to go to Tenafly Middle school. This place was my go to for after school snack.
Price is still amazing for lunch deals around $8~$12, portions are generous, and ultimately foods are great.
It’s been more than 10 years but I’ll still come to Tenafly just for Good Taste general chicken tsp combo.
Highly recommended.

First and will be LAST time here. Shrimp fried rice and steamed chicken dumplings. Rice was yellow, “Mexican” rice with an OVERLOAD of raw onion and shrimp were huge. But it had ZERO flavor. Blandest fried rice I’ve ever had. Dumplings were thick on dough, chicken (AGAIN) very bland and sauce was lacking in flavor. People that referred me to this place said they’d always had better luck but; had never ordered the items I did. Won’t be back. But good luck to all who choose to dine from here.

I’ve always liked the food from here. So, when we had a bday for my son, I decided to order catering from them. Lomein and fried rice. I ordered and paid a couple of days in advance. But when I was picking up, they couldn’t find my order. When they finally did, they told us to wait for 10 minutes. No problem. But I was not sure if it was because it was rushed but both food were bland than usual. The fried rice still felt a little bit uncooked. I am still going to order from here but it was really disappointing for our catered order.

I grew up in town and haven’t had Good Taste in years. The food was just as amazing as I remember it. Staff was friendly and service was excellent. I ordered and was on my way out in less than 20 min.

I stopped here to get something quick for dinner. I walked in and was greeted by the woman behind the counter. I took a few minutes to decide on what to order. I placed my order and paid for it. She said it would be about ten minutes but I don’t even think it took that long. Shortly after sitting down she told me my order was ready and I was on my way. The food I had was good and I will order from here again. I highly recommend this place.

Had General Tso chicken all white meat, beef fried rice and egg roll. All were terrible. Chicken was so much soggy breading or something, tiny pieces of meat, not crispy, with canned sauce it seems. Rice was yellow, tasteless with rubbery beef, which was the best thing here. Egg roll, soggy, straight from restaurant depot cooked in old grease , by the taste of it.. never again, don’t know how their open with food this bad
