We love this restaurant for the friendly staff, cleanliness, speed of service, quality of food is amazing, and even their ability to have free flowing delicious coffee so your never quite on empty. The biscuits are unique and tasty that I couldn’t not get it. 😉 and the potato’s are simply unique and amazing. 5 stars easily to this diner. Definitely my favorite and best diner in Palm Coast, Florida
Of the breakfast items we have had, none of been less than good. I do think they serve the best pancakes, biscuits, waffles in the area have enjoyed their omelettes and power bowel and milk shakes. For lunch we have only tried the Reuben which is very good with all the right ingredients in the correct proportion and came out hot with a nice cheese pull. The chicken bowl was only good because the chicken was a little dry and did not have a citrus flavoring to it. The rest of the bowl items were very good.
We have always had great service, especially from Holly. When it is busy it will get loud in the open table seating area. If possible wait for a booth or eat outside in those cases. I talk about parking below.
I’m giving it 4 stars because I enjoy bold flavors in my food and found it a little bland — I had to add salt, which wasn’t quite the same.
Other than that, the staff is very friendly, there’s plenty of parking, the prices are reasonable, and the place is clean. I would definitely try them again!
1. Shannon M our waitress scolded me within 1 minute of coming to our table.
2. Shannon M did speek to us at 87 MPH when the FLORIDA posted speed talking limit for seniors is 55 MPH. Shannon was running around at WARP SPEED so it was either too much coffee or they gave her too many tables today?
Back to #1 = So Shannon was machine gunning her set speech for us that she knows so well for when she greets diners.
But we knew in advance exactly what we wanted.
So as Shannon started in on the POT PIE SPECIAL I tried to save her the effort so I tried to stop her to tell her we knew what we wanted.
But Shannon wasn’t having any talk back from us measly customers.
I have been a waiter so I know the ropes.
So Shannon says, “I HAVE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE SPECIAL…(that’s when I tried to save her the effort) she then in a nasty tone continued with “I DON’T COME TO YOUR PLACE OF WORK AND TELL YOU HOW TO DO YOUR JOB, DO I?”
Well my wife and I heard that and after Shannon left we immediately agreed = NO TIP!
Now in all fairness Shannon was an excellent waitress.
After her poor judgement in choice of words she took great care of us. But the rude treatment made this meal at Beachside diner a tainted one!
So we only left $3 on a $25 total because as I said Shannon’s service was excellent.
I would have left a $6 to $8 tip in admiration of how well she did her job. But a $0 tip would have been unfair.
We split the mushroom burger and it was good. The side ceasar was great as were the fries and pickle.
The tomato & lettuce that came on the burger were top quality fresh. And the bun was great for a burger.
