It was absolutely incredible.
I had the nigiri combo, and every piece was seasoned to perfection. Easily the best sushi I’ve had here in Halifax.
I also ordered some tempura on the side, and it was freshly made
warm, crispy, and so satisfying.
I’m already looking forward to going back. Highly recommend!

Great experience at Sushi Maru! The fish was very fresh and the sushi tasted excellent. Service was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend.

best tonkastu ramen ive ever had. the sushi house rolls are amazing as well. The servers are always so kind and today the chef even came out and asked about how our food tasted!! i’ve genuinely never been to a restaurant with better service than Sushi Maru. the atmosphere is so chill, they play quiet relaxing music that makes it feel like a cozy night out. the prices are also great, id say its the best bang for your buck in nova scotia for sushi. its never busy but i hope it will be because they deserve so much more recognition.

Delicious sushi lunch! Everything was very tasty, perfectly prepared, and generous quantities. Staff are friendly and professional, and the space is clean and nicely decorated. Our only complaint was that it was cold in there; recommend wearing a sweater. We will definitely go back! It’s a small spot so you might want to make a reservation to be sure of getting a table.

Sushi is so fresh and delicious. As tea is hand-made by the owner, it tastes savory. Takoyaki is crunchy and soft inside. Shrimp tempura is also crunchy and great. I will come here again.

It is a consistent and genuine surprise that this place isn’t PACKED 24/7. Consistently been my favorite restaurant in NS. Service is amazing, food is always served quickly and the quality is so incredibly consistent it makes me wonder how other restaurants manage to mess up so often. Even when the power was out in the bedford area, they still offered to cook and the quality was amazing. This is one of them ones. (Only downside is the Ramen, I’d go to Buta Ramen instead that’s a few minutes away)
