2/27/26 Our most recent visit we waited 45 minutes after ordering before they let us know they must have lost our order? They never checked on us in that time. It isn’t always the fastest service but reasonable. We ended up leaving because it was almost 8 pm and we didn’t want to wait any longer for our food after another couple of tables had ordered. To add to the disappointment they were delivering food to a table that had just ordered & had several special requests & 8 people.
Easy access to and from 58 Hwy and a good amount of parking available. They have several barbecue sauces on the table to choose from so you can dress it how you like. The loaded french fries and tater tots are a great addition to your meal. We opted to split them between us since they come in a basket size. The barbecue was moist and had a great flavor. The hamburger was cooked as ordered and was delicious. My wife enjoyed the BLT. They had the ball game playing on the TV. We arrived about 50 minutes prior to closing but they didn’t seem bothered by that and didn’t rush us out (we did walk out the door at closing). The bar area has a surprisingly large amount of seating. Really like their onion rings. Service can be hit or miss

This place seriously hits the spot. The wings? Next level — crispy, saucy, and packed with flavor. I could’ve eaten a dozen more. The nachos were stacked and super tasty, with just the right amount of everything (none of that sad chip-only layer at the bottom).

Me and my mom can split almost any of the lunch items they are such large portions. The loaded chicken salad is only $8 and the burger with french fries is $7. And we don’t eat wings, but another table ordered them and they looked and smelt amazing going by, 8 wings for $6 is a great deal! This is such a small family run diner that you can feel the authenticity of it’s history. You can tell which servers have experience and those that are still trying to learn and grow but they are all just so welcoming. I think they’ve been around for about 60 or so years and they sponsor the local ball teams which also feels like our money is going back to the community. Thank you Sweeney’s!!

Ordered a BBQ sandwich asked for Mayo slaw received mustard slaw can’t stand mustard, the pulled pork was more burnt ends couldn’t eat, what a waste of money and asked for extra sauce they put it in little cup and charged for it. Will not go back.

Sweeney’s has been in the same location forever! And when I say forever, I mean I first went there in 1970 something! It’s a hometown place that serves great BBQ. Very reasonably priced.The potato salad is awesome! Love it! The sweet tea was just sweet enough. Great service, too. When you see a bunch of guys inside eating lunch, you know you’re in the right place!

They must have been super busy at lunch. I heard the lunch crowd wiped out all the stock of onion rings. I really wanted to try those rings and that Bbq man-handler burger topped with onion ring. The remaining smoked ribs for the evening crowd is delicious. The fried pickles were excellent. Catch ya next time on the onion rings and bbq man-handler burger, Sweeney !
