Had an amazing dinner at Biga here in Tulsa. The lobster ravioli was seriously next level — super fresh, rich, and full of flavor. Also want to shout out Chloe and Abby for being so friendly and attentive the entire night. They made the experience even better. If you’re looking for true 5-star Italian in Tulsa, this is the spot. Highly recommend.

I want to yell at Google, for hiding this gem from our searches for “Italian near me” for.. well.. like 15 years. We stumbled across Biga by chance tonight, and upon arrival found a lovely place with warm and friendly people. We ordered off the prix fixe menu: I got the chicken parm with a starter salad. He got the meatballs (made with veal and pork) along with a sausage and ricotta lasagna. The lobster ravioli was too tempting to ignore so we got that as an extra. As a New Englander, I have to say that was the best preparation of lobster I’ve ever eaten. Our normal banter was replaced by happy moans of gastronomical pleasure. The food was **truly** authentic and delicious. My husband spent years in Italy as a young GI, and he had actual tears in his eyes as he sopped up exquisite sauces, and savored perfectly prepared meats that melted in the mouth. It had always been our plan for him to take me to Europe – Italy especially – but age and infirmity have made those plans a pipe dream. He turned to me and said that he’d always felt he disappointed me, by never getting to share the food he fell so in love with, but here — here in Tulsa, he was finding those same flavors and same memorable love and attention to every detail. Dessert was cheesecake and something called a chocolate cloud – both were absolute A+. We just found our new favorite restaurant, and will absolutely be back.

The atmosphere was great. There’s a fireplace. The food and service were adequate but if I’m spending $50+ per person I expect to be impressed. The red sauce on my lasagna tasted like it came out of a jar of plain tomato sauce. The tiramisu was pretty good.

Well for the type of restaurant it is, I’m sure it is great. We were the only 40 year olds in the building other than one little girl who was serving tables. This was like walking into a 50+ country club, and everyone stared at us like “why are you kids here, get off our lawn!” The menu was 2 sided and one side was all wine, $12 a glass I might add! The meals were $30 per person for 3 courses. And there was a lot of veal and beet dishes. In not sure who actually eats that stuff, but it’s not me…we did find chicken parm and stuffed mushrooms on the menu but they needed salt really badly and there was none on the table. Their fresh baked bread was good, and that is probably the best water I’ve ever drank from a restaurant lol we had dessert of chocolate pie and tiramisu and that was probably the best part of the whole experience! If you’re a 50+ and looking for a bougie country club atmosphere, you’ve come to the right place! We won’t be back for at least 10 years!

I’m not usually a fan of leaving reviews especially if it is a bad one but this just feels necessary. My friend and I each ordered a glass of wine, the fried calamari, the potato thyme gnocchi, and the lobster alla vodka. To make a long story sort of short, it was just terrible. The food was terrible, the only thing that was actually good was the bottled wine and the bread that came with the table. The restaurant is small, not crowded, and there were many old people there. That isn’t a problem but could tell it was a type of place that only “regulars” went to. The ceiling was DISGUSTING, my friends wine came dripping down the glass and stained the table, the water bottle had some sort of yucky black substance, the food tasted nothing like the description, and my friend’s gnocchi was completely raw. If the health department came it would more then likely be shut down until improvements were made. The decorations were tacky and out of place for an “Italian” restaurant and could unfortunately tell it was not clean at all which leads me to ask what the kitchen looked like. Never in my life have I ever complained about my food to the sever and we actually requested that the main meals be returned and if it could be taken off. He agreed and removed the main meals so we just paid for our wine and the appetizer. That is the only thing that made the night a little better. I wouldn’t recommend Biga but if you go maybe order something other then what we ordered.

I have a hard time deciding on my favorite Italian spot in tulsa, but this has been in my top 3 for over a decade. This is the only Italian spot in Tulsa that actually replicates both the food and feel of some of the really good non-touristy restaurants in Tuscany. Prices are very reasonable for the caliber of food with both higher priced specialties and lower priced dishes for budget customers. Half portions are large enough for most people. I like to order a few dishes to share among the table.
Servers here are veterans of the restaurant so they know the dishes well.
The chicken picata here is better than any other restaurant I’ve had it at and I’ve tried a lot of them.

Mondays they are closed for a wine dinner that is an amazing deal. Make sure you call a day or two beforehand to get reservations. You will not regret it, but you are going to want to rideshare there or have a designated driver.

We have found a new favorite! It is what going out to a restaurant used to be when we were younger. It is a slower pace, fresh-made delicious food. Definitely make a reservation to be sure that you get a table. Remember the days when you would go out and the restaurant food was better than homemade? It is not fast food, but it is worth the wait. It is perfect to be able to sit and enjoy a nice conversation while your meal is being prepared. The wait staff knows how each dish is prepared and can make the perfect recommendation for your taste of food. We will definitely be back and were so happy to find this place! Hope that you give them a try and enjoy the opportunity to relax, enjoy the experience, and the fantastic food!

Omg the sauces are amazing! The gnocchi was to die for! I told my daughter I would drink the sauce with a straw! Pictured is the small order! The filet was not cooked to order and was seared medium rare but quite tough and lacking flavor. The lobster ravioli was delicious. The Alfredo sauce was thick creamy and flavorful. My daughter said that the meatballs lacked flavor… I disagreed! I thought the meatballs were quite flavorful. We also ordered the antipasto not pictured and chocolate cloud for desert.

Loved the Vibe of this place!! Old school Italian, memento bottles line the seats at the edge of the dining room. Food was top notch, been in business in Tulsa for 22 years. Went on Restaurant week and had the 3 course Prix fixe meal. Was delicious!!

I’ve always said that my last meal would be DUCK from the 4 seasons on NYC UNTIL TONIGHT AT BIGA.
I had sea bass and nothing has melted in my mouth as it did. But we had only use begun. The wine was exquisite. The molten chocolate cake oozed delight and the tiramasu was perfect. My companion had veal. So much she couldn’t eat it all the salad was lite and the. Read and BUTTER. Like real butter was perfection.
That’s not even discussing the ambiance and crowd. How have I missed this place in 18 years. We’ve already made plans to return. They had several tables of 6+ and yet still quaint for sweet couple encounters. The best restaurant in Tulsa in a great location . .
