I didn’t expect the hot pot place in Pacifica was good but wow~~~
We were looking for some hot food after an hour watching whales by the beach.
We found this place on Google maps and gave it a try.
$40 per person for AYCE hot pot and grill which is great price in Bay Area.
We ordered about 40 items most were good and fresh.
The lady waitress was very friendly giving us suggestions. We definitely will come back!

My wife and I visited Top Pot for hot pot and had an excellent experience. The service was amazing — very friendly and fast — and the prices were quite fair for the quality. The soup base was rich and flavorful, and the drinks were a huge plus; the passion fruit green tea, in particular, was outstanding. We also loved that they offered complementary ice cream at the end of the meal. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a great hot pot experience!

Super unique AYCE hot pot and bbq experience! The soup bases are good and the meats and selection of food is great! The only downside is the restaurant is small so the tables are a little cramped and you have to be seated right up against other people.

Every weekend we find a beautiful place in NorCal to visit and this time it was Cascade Falls and Muir National Monuments. On the way back, my son introduced us a hot pot place that he liked and this Top Pot was on our list to visit. On the way back from Muir Beach, we had to go through Golden Gate (now it’s $9.75 – wow) to get to Pacifica on 101 to get to this restaurant.
It’s in a big shopping center with another hot pot, but this one is the one to try. It’s close to the beach so we can get the sea breeze while staying out front, quite refreshing.
It was a Saturday evening so quite crowded but we didn’t have to wait. This is a very nice place, clean and simple. I was impress with the washroom, very clean, modern and everything is well stocked.
The price is more than Shabuya or any other in SJ, $40/person but looking at the menu, and trusting my son’s taste, I believe it’s worth the money.
We went to get the sauces for our dippings. I like the ponzu, sesame sauce mixed with some grounded peanuts, quite delicious. The sauce bar got every sauce you can think of to make your own.
The menu has many things for you to choose from, I noticed the beef only has a few choices, ribeyes and beef belly, no briskets, toro or anything like that. But it has tendon and tongue and a few others like tripes. Quite many varieties for many different tastes. I do like it.
The appetizer chicken wings are excellent and the crab rangoons are tasty.

The service here is second to none for any restaurant. Everyone is extremely concern, pleasant, attentive and fast. To me for 1.5 hour limit to all you can eat, with this fast service, you can finish your meal in 40 minutes unlike many places taking their time to deliver the foods.

The broth I chose was spicy soup with only 1 red pepper instead of 2 or 3. It’s a very good soup.

The meats, seafoods and vegetables are very fresh. The meats are cut thicker than many places so don’t order too much. There’s something new that I didn’t know is that when I order something just for me, it came out with the portion of many. Like tripes, I should ask for a single instead of a big bowl of tripes and I had to eat it all because wasting food is a NO NO LOL. So make sure everyone in your table will share or ask for a single order.

This is the first place that has Tong Ho, my favorite veggies, the Napa Cabbage is very fresh and crispy. The soft tofu and clear noodles everyone like.

And a bonus, we had free dessert, green tea ice cream. My son wanted to try the plum juice drink but it’s too sour so I had to finish it. It’s quite good IMHO.

One thing I noticed is the foods weren’t frozen when they came to your table, so they cook very quickly in the pot, excellent way of serving.

One thing great about the Bay area is we can enjoy all the best foods in the world without breaking the bank or not LOL.

Will we stop by here again? My wife already said to take our daughter here when she visits us from NYC. So definitely. Yes it’s worth the money because of the location and the quality of food and services.

The miso and tom yum soup were excellent and full of flavor, but I was a bit disappointed with the chicken. It was unfortunately a little too tough for my liking. Overall, though, I really enjoyed!

We’ve been coming to Top Pot Pacifica for a few years now and just never got around to giving them a review they definitely deserve one! Even when the place is packed, the staff are so nice and incredibly attentive. They’re always checking on your table, refilling drinks, and making sure you have everything you need without ever feeling rushed. The food is always fresh, the broths are flavorful, and the sauce bar lets you mix things exactly how you like. We love that everyone gets their own pot, and the quality has been consistently great over the years. You can really feel the pride the team puts into their service. The restaurant can get busy, especially during dinner, but it’s 100% worth the wait. We’ll keep coming back- it’s easily one of our favorite spots in Pacifica!

I have been here many times, in fact I have been coming since they have first opened a few years ago. Usually when I come for dinner it’s mainly packed, but you can write your name on the waitlist. They offer indoor dining and outdoor dining, most people go for the indoor tables mainly because it’s Pacifica where it’s cold and foggy. I don’t mind the wait at all since I have high patience. They are all you can eat, but the drinks are not included at that price and charged per order. I do recommend their house made drinks, it’s very good and refreshing. Their appetizers such as short ribs, dumplings, onion pancake, etc. The hot pot menu starts off of your choice of pot, you can go with just a soup base hot pot, a bigger size pot for a larger party or you can go half hot pot and half barbecue grill. Also they have a good selection of meats, fresh seafood, different kinds of meatball, many vegetables to choose from and even dessert to finish off the meal. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great hot pot spot or if you want to try something new. I definitely will be back!

We came on a Saturday at 7pm and had the option of getting a table for 2 immediately if we choose the shared pot table or wait ~1hr if we want the individual pot table. We were hungry and wasn’t in the mood for BBQ, so we picked the prior.

Both the food and service were great. No complaints. We’ll definitely return in the future.

Here are some info for choosing the food:
+ Soup: If you want something mild, I recommend the salty pork bone over the mushroom soup, as the latter was a bit bland. If you’re looking for something savory, then Thai Tom Yum is a good choice.
+ For meat, the beef tongue, beef ribeye, and pork belly were the tastiest. Beef belly was a bit chewy, and kurobuta pork was a bit dry. If you want seafood, the spicy fish fillet works well with the tom yum soup or the tomato soup.
+ Quail egg was good. Some other hot pot places may use canned quail eggs, but this place probably use fresher ones.
+ Vegetable: Can’t go wrong with tong ho and bok choy. If you want a bit more starch, chinese yam is tasty, too.
+ Noodle: The Biang Biang noodle is worth the try. It’s soft, with just a bit of chewi-ness that tastes great even on its own.
+ Appertizer: I recommend the vegetable spring roll and not the potsticker. Note that you should make sure to tell them if you only want a specific number of pieces, because even though we wrote the number down like the menu instructed, they still gave us a whole serving.
+ Dessert: Try the fried bun with condensed milk. It’s not too dough-y and the milk is just sweet enough. Sidenote, even if you don’t order anything, they’ll still ask if you want ice cream at the end. We were too full by that point, though.

Kicking the New Year off a review of my ultimate favorite hot pot spot in all of the Bay Area!!! You have to trust me on this one.

Whether you’re craving hot pot and/or bbq, you can get the best of both worlds all to yourself. Love that you can choose a broth and also grill at the same time.

Huge selections of meat, veggies, appetizers, soup bases, sauces/toppings, etc. All the ingredients are SUPER FRESH and HIGH QUALITY too! It’s really hard to compare to other hot pot places. Not a single item I don’t like on their menu.

Some must tries on the menu (imo):
– The biang biang noodles are a must have!
– Chinese Doughnut (soak this bad boi in your broth, your tastebuds will be enlightened)
– Beef belly is great on the grill!!
– Beef tongue (get your moneys worth)
– Fried bean curd
– Chinese yam
– Lettuce (idk what it is but their lettuce is so sweet so good)
– Fried taro
– TIP: put some green onions + oil on the grill until soft. Pair it with the meat. Flavor explosion. Thank me later. 🙂

Service is always top notch here. They’re attentive and I never had to chase down someone for something. I like the seating layout where it’s not too cramped and you have enough room to breathe. Plenty of parking outside the plaza which is what keeps me coming back!

Note: They only take reservations for parties of 6+. Wait times can be long esp during dinner time so if you don’t want to wait, come right when they open for dinner. Don’t underestimate the wait time for weekday dinner either.

Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!!
