This is a Korean Soup counter at the food court of the Park N Shop in Niles, IL. They have some of the best Korean Soups in the Chicago area. The Galbi Tang (Beef soup) is especially good. Also very goog beef and pork Bulgogi. All meals served with rice, excellent kimchi and soup (if ordering Bulgogi). We have been dining here or getting takeout here for 10 years and never had a bad meal.

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!! If I wanted this many noodles, I would’ve just ordered ramyun. The budae jjigae was overloaded with noodles, and the beef broth had no flavor whatsoever. The bulgogi was mostly onions—completely disappointing. To make matters worse, a staff member made a rude and offensive comment, saying, “You must be Mongolian.” Even if I were, that shouldn’t matter—customers are the ones bringing in the business and the money. I ordered three dishes and only asked for a refund on two of them, but they still refused. The lack of respect and basic customer service was shocking. This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Korean restaurant. Absolutely disgusting. I will be reporting this place to the Better Business Bureau.

This place has the best soups! My favorite is Galbitang (chef’s kiss) but honestly all of their dishes are all very tasty! I eat here several times a week and the service is just as good as the food. I’ve tried the Galbitang at several different places and NOTHING compares. 10 out of 10! I highly recommend

My wife and I were so happy to visit this Korean restaurant when we were craving some Korean food. The chilly weather was just the right setting to enjoy some warming Korean soups, and we were really looking forward to trying it out.
To make sure we didn’t miss anything, I had already looked over the menu and made my choice.
Overall, we had great service, and the food was absolutely delicious. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying their other soups, which I’m sure are just as amazing.

Save 3% by bringing cash.
This was that rare occasion where the food looked nicer than the picture on the menu.
I ordered beef bulgogi. It arrived on a sizzling plate, with a delicious cup of beef broth, and two vegetables. The dish was large and delicious. I had leftovers to take home.

Located in the food court at assi plaza supermarket , this restaurant was probably my best food experience in Chicago for our super short stay .
The beef soup sullingtang was what I was craving as it as a bone soup that hit the spot for my stomach. Me and my mom really enjoyed it and decided to order two soups to go on our trip back to Ohio . My dad ordered the goat soup and he loved it too so he ordered one to go and he is super picky . Prices are good and the radish kimchi was out of the world good

Located in the former Assi Plaza food court and now named Park and Shop (store). Don’t be deceived by its unassuming facade. Wow wow wow truly gourmet.
This place trumps all. The BEST Korean food in Chicago. As a native Korean and avid foodie I hold high standards for Korean cuisine. This joint offers the best favors and uses high quality ingredients of all the places I have been to in the state. The kimchi is homemade, you can tell. It’s so delicious and yet not drenched in salt and sugar, so healthy tasting yet light and flavorful. High quality, authentic, no skimping (generous portions- yay) and even greater prices (what?).
It’s a hole in the wall, mom & pop shop and I can’t get enough of it. I would eat here everyday if I could. I want to give the owner and the cook a big hug, thank you thank you thank you. And please never go away.
