Such a lovely spot! It’s hard to find anywhere with this much charm. Everything is lovely!
The service is patient and friendly. The baked goods are flavorful and delicious. We enjoyed the honey biscuit, blackberry croissant, and the morning bun.
The menu was varied and had a satisfying mix of classic offerings and unique specialities.
The coffee was good too! This is our new favourite stop on our way to and from the beach!

This is the most beautiful cake I’ve ever seen and tasted. Their team went above and beyond in every aspect. Despite being closed for the holiday, they allowed me to set up a time to pick up my cake. I was only in town for a few days so I truly appreciate their accomodations. 10/10 for communication, quality, service, aesthetics, creativity, taste, etc.

Little Loaf is an absolute gem. I learned that they carefully source much of their flour from Italy, where flour is held to stricter standards and thus often more nutritious and easier to digest. The passion for their product they put out is palpable and I personally cannot overstate how inspiring and needed small businesses like this are in the community.
Wilmington is lucky to have Little Loaf! Not to mention they have several gluten free and Vegan options, especially on Friday. There will often be a line out the door, but use this opportunity to chat up some lovely folks. The wait is worth it!
the outdoor back patio area is amazing, as is the coffee.
I truly wish this establishment the utmost success!

This bakery is pretty good. The blackberry croissant cup was the best from what we got. The Belgian waffles were good, I’d prefer they were served hot. I didn’t care for the bialy, as it tasted like a dense bagel. We really liked the outdoor seating area and the ambiance inside was nice too. I’d try more from here if I happened to be close by.

Pleasant surprise. We found this bakery on accident and are very happy we did. Croissants are delicious(missing from photo as it was eaten so quickly). Second time here and all baked goods have been delicious. We will continue to come try everything they make

This place has BY FAR the best bread I’ve ever had. Honey biscuits are to die for and so is the sea salt and rosemary sourdough focaccia. I have no clue how anyone can rate this place lower than 5 stars. Most of the reviews I’ve read had lower stars due to this amazing place selling out and honestly as It should. A local place who puts effort into the bread they make is a prime example as to why they sell out. We will be back time and time again!

Tried a new bakery today. Had some superb croissants with coffee and came home with some small batch artisanal breads. A wonderful baguette, delicious sourdough and focacia. Only make a certain amount, when it’s gone that’s it. Really good!

Something special is happening at Little Loaf, a tiny bakery on Wrightsville Ave just past Canaday’s. They’re doing amazing things with just flour, water, salt, and a funky old sourdough starter. If you can stand the long lines, typically wrapping around the inside of the store, out the front door, down the stairs and through the yard, you’ll be richly rewarded for your patience with, hands down, the most spectacular baked goods in the state of NC.
