The fish and chips were impressive — the batter was light and crisp, and the fish itself was tender and tasty. The chips were hot and well-seasoned, though I wish the portion had been a bit larger.
I also tried the glazed salmon bowl, which was fresh and nicely cooked, with a glaze that gave it a pleasant sweet-savory balance.

The shrimp po boy was really good. I definitely enjoyed it. The calamari was decent but not worth the price. It should quite frankly, be cut in half. Or at least 2/3 the price. The fish and chips were your basic fish and chips. The fries and old bay on them or something. They weren’t the best. This next thing isn’t specific to albina but this was the first time we saw the CHP fee on anything ever and so it was confusing. Especially cuz it also had the option to tip on top of that. We ended up paying $57 including the fees. Would not order the calamari or fish and chips again.

And I thought California had some shady forced tip practices. The staff was kind enough to tell me after my credit card was processed that they charge an automatic 22% on top of the entire bill inclusive of tax and some other specialty fee. I don’t like dishonesty couched in withholding of relevant information until after they’ve taken your money. Never eating at this place again, and will warn other like-minded diners to avoid for this very reasons. Restaurants are getting pretty fing bold these days. Sad because food was decent and atmosphere of the Milk Market in general is very fun.

Great Pike Bowl, Fast service, friendly servers, and a cool public market location. It All starts with great rice! Love the crushed red hot Cheetos too!

Best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Tarter sauce was excellent!

Shady place! 22% employee service fee, and all they do is cook the food? I tip servers well, you know, the people who actually wait on you and bring your food out? Pay your cooks a decent wage and don’t add a ghost tip that you only mention after the card is ran. Ended up paying almost $19 for a shrimp Po boy. A few pieces of shrimp on a hoagie with slaw and fancy mayo. Definitely not a sandwich worth the $14 they list it as, let alone $19 after mandatory gratuity and some other tax. Definitely won’t be coming here again.

Love the food hall concept and aesthetic at Milk Market! I ordered the blackened mahi sandwich with a side of tots and it was super tasty! The service was great and yes, there was a surcharge of 22% for communal employee tips, but the server clarified you do not need to tip on top of that and it’s 2023, that’s not abnormal anymore. Recommend and will be back!

I’ve been eating New England clam chowder all my life. I feel the menu should mention that their version has bacon in it. When I asked the server, upon seeing it, if it had pork in it, she replied, “No, don’t worry.”
It was obviously filled with bacon from top to bottom. Servers should know what they’re serving. Fortunately, my husband eats pork so we just switched meals. But I won’t be back.

The employees were great, but employees do not make a restaurant.
The fried calamari was, literally, the worst I have ever had. The calamari batter was pure bland flour, the sauce was a basic red sauce (which tasted like it had been frozen, thawed, frozen again, and microwaved), and calamari was not coated properly as the fry fell apart.
The fries, while had a pre-made seasoning that sort of helped, were soggy and undercooked as well.

I’m always on the hunt for a decent po’boy in Denver, and was thrilled to see shrimp and clam options on the menu here. Unfortunately, the result is simply average, and overpriced. Bread was a heavily buttered loaf with six deep fried medium sized shrimp. The shrimp were admittedly outstanding. Remoulade flavor was lost in all that bread and butter. Fries were not good and significantly under seasoned. Po’boy, fries, and club soda came to $24. Pretty pricey for average-at-best food. Will not return to this vendor, but looking forward to trying other concepts here.
