quiet neighborhood bar. Good bartender but not managed well. Could not make the drinks we ordered ( long Island and lemon drop martini) because they were out of sour mix at 9pm on a Friday night. Please help them Taffer want to try food but the smoke from the kitchen was fogging the place out

This place used to be fun to go to, but lately I feel uncomfortable there. It has so much potential to be nice, but it’s kind of a let down every time I go. For the bar to be successful all you really need is a few things like good service and cold beer. How can they sever room temp beer? Ridiculous. We went there last night for the 1st time. It was hot and humid, the beer was served almost at room temp, the music was awful and the service was average- all this summarizes its average atmosphere. The guy at the bar wasn’t fun or friendly or entertaining or in general should not be working in customer service job counting on good tips, moping around like he is there as a punishment. Not to mention no doors in women’s bathroom. Our whole experience could have been a lot better with small changes. The owner should invest some money and make this the spot to hang in niceville. Right now it’s a dump.

Great music, non-smoking, great service from Taylor. Great draft beer selection with a good variety. We only had drinks and played pool, although they did have a crawfish boil when we came and people seemed to enjoy it. We will be back.
I wish they’d answer their phone though. It rang through several times to a generic message just stating the phone number. I was trying to confirm it was non-smoking before I went but I was glad to learn that it is non-smoking once I got there.

I’ve been there many times. This is the first time I was humiliated and embarrassed of the bartender. I guess he is new all I said I ordered two beers and he said $8. All I said is wow $8 for two beers. That’s crazy because usually when you go out it’s like $9 for one beer. He immediately said I can’t serve you and poured my beer out in front of me. Very humiliating

If you come here it’s a cool place most the people are cool. The owners son runs it and be careful not to upset him. He’s going to disrespect you and if you give it back to him he’ll probably kick you out with his tuff guy voice. Don’t worry though he’s softer than whipped cream. Chef Petty in the back actually does the work it takes to keep the place in order and he pumps out some damn good food considering what he has to work with. It’s the only place in niceville that’s open late where else you gonna go

Got banned from bar for singing a karaoke song (a musical number from Cabaret) because it was partially in German. Accused of being a racist. Utterly absurd. I have literally seen men punch women in the face there. And they are not banned.

I have been going here on and off for almost 5 years. I love the bartenders, and seeing the familiar faces of locals every time I visit is always so comforting. Younger tourists probably won’t like it, but that’s fine because this bar was made for locals 🙂
