Being in the food industry for over 15 years, in 2021 the Perez-Villa family finally jumped on an opportunity to open their first establishment as Mr. Avocado’s Mexican Asada Grill. Being from Michoacan, the name of Mr. Avocados was the perfect fit. Michoacan is a state in Mexico that is heavily known for its agricultural production of avocados. We are honored to bring to you some of the best quality mexican food classics. We also are the home of the delicious Tri-Tip tacos. Visit us for a quality meal!

This plate is the 3 taco combo with lengua, carnitas, and pastor. We got two combo meals and a bean, cheese, and rice burrito for under $40. All was excellent and the service was friendly and accommodating to some minor requests. Prices are an amazing deal for the quality and quantity of the food. We sat in the shaded, comfortable patio to eat. Overall, this place is such a find off the 99 on a California roadtrip!

The breakfast burritos are generally some of the best I have had on the west side of the city. The secret being the potatoes are not the centerpiece in the burrito. Additionally this place has an ace up their sleeve which is the smokey red hot sauce. Between the great food and excellent hot sauce, this is easily my favorite place for breakfast burritos in the city with few even close in the runnings. Others should pay close attention if they want to compete with the best!

Wow. The staff was so incredibly friendly, the food, amazing, and the dining area and bathrooms super clean. We had the al pastor nachos (very yummy) shrimp taco plate (super yummy) and a quesadilla and chicken nuggets (surprisingly very yummy) .

Mr. Appetizer, price and the amount of you get don’t match , in this economy paying almost $15 dollars for this fries was definitely too much.
The flavor of the fries was just okay, nothing special! for that price you can go to hodel’s country style buffet and get a nicer meal.
Bakersfield restaurants are way too expensive compared to San Diego and the amount of food is way less too.

Very good experience, been here multiple times now with my family and have no negative comments about Mr. Avocados. Greeted with good customer service and the food while simple is very tasty. The owners are very friendly and the service is quick. Recommend the Cali burrito on your next stop.

Recommend soft shell over the hard shell. But both are made very well.
The pickled onions, carrots and jalapenos were delicious with a little kick of spice.
Outside seating that we could eat with our dog that was fenced in.
We only had tacos, but are excited to come back and try other dishes!

Stopped by for early lunch, they were a little busy. We ordered two tortas, both with carne asada.
They made them both in less than five minutes. They were very good. They cut them in half which was very nice because we couldn’t eat them all. My partner had never had a torts before, she described her’s as excellent. Took the rest home.
