My first time eating from Hunan Kitchen! The chicken and rice was delicious and still good and hot when it came! The portions are very generous! I definitely will eat from here again

A few days ago, my husband and I went grocery shopping, and by lunchtime, we decided to grab a quick bite at a small restaurant hunankitchen nearby. We kept it simple and ordered two dishes—one chicken vegetable and one beef vegetable —served with fried rice and a spring roll.

The service was impressively quick, and the food was fresh and delicious. The portions were very generous—one plate was more than enough for one person, leaving us completely satisfied. What stood out was how reasonably priced everything was, making it a great value for money.

It was the perfect spot for a quick, hearty, and affordable lunch. Definitely a hidden gem worth revisiting!

Ordered delivery. I was so surprised this has been our go to since we moved to the area in May. We have been ordering 1x per week. We were very disappointed when we sat down to eat due to the gravy for the egg foo and egg rolls a bit overdone. Gravy looked like tapioca and that was way off. If it’s a new chief please bring the other one back. If not we will be looking for a new place. For 50 plus it should not look like this!

I ordered the seafood fried rice, unfortunately it was full of egg shells throughout the dish. I even left a $3 tip on a pick-up order. After contacting the restaurant I was told they will inform the chef..,really. I’m Done. They want business yet provide poor food!!!

Orange Chicken is absolutely disgusting and not one piece of the orange chicken was actually meat or even chewable. Fried Rice was okay and so was the Egg Rolls but Lo Mein, Orange Chicken and General Tso are not worth spending your money on.

P.S. I did not chew food in photo just ripped it apart.

Lots of choices on the menu, including combination specials available every day. I got a large portion of Roast Pork Lo Mein for only $9.99 with a refreshing Red Tea Boba. Very nice and friendly staff.

Every time I order from this place online, they mess up the delivery. Whenever I ask for it to be sent at a later time, they bring it immediately. This time I specifically asked for it an hour and a half later so I could run out for a few minutes, but they brought it right away anyway. I asked them by phone to take it back because I didn’t want it to get cold, but when they did bring it at the prescribed time, it was indeed cold. I’m done trying.

Very quaint place, sandwiched into the shopping plaza. Staff were relatively friendly and helpful, the restaurant was clean, and tables empty ready for guests. They have photos on the wall of what I assume to be their most popular dishes. There are laminated menus at the front counter where you place your order and pay. They then ask if you’re carrying out or dining in. Dine in is served on styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery. Drinks come out of a cooler and are not free refill. Expect to put soy sauce or your favorite sauce on the rice – it needs it. Food appears made-to-order as it is scalding coming out of the kitchen. I had the Orange Chicken, and it was delicious. Fried spring roll came with my meal, and with a drink came out to shy of $12. Would definitely come back. Free delivery on orders over $15 within a 5 mile radius.

I love Chinese food but had a problem lately. The two places I order from have been messing up my orders. And in some cases I believe they have changed their dishes – in a bad way. Long story short I went to Google Reviews to find a new Chinese place to order delivery from.
So I found Hunan Kitchen and order sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, an egg roll, Crab Rangoon with cheese, and Chinese dounuts.
First sign I have found the place I wanted – took about 40 minutes to get to me. Perfect.
Second sign – driver was well mannered. And even smiled. Great.
And the food was still hot and tasted great. I was even surprised by the dounuts which tasted like dounuts. Not tiny, dry, diner rolls covered in sugar.
And to top it all off – they sent two plates and two forks and napkins. I was very impressed and have found my new Chinese place.
Update – Ordered from Hunan Kitchen a few days ago. Honey Tempura Chicken. Crab Rangoon, and of course Chinese Dounuts. Took just over 45 minutes but the food was hot and good. No plates but two forks and two fortune cookies.

This was my first time going to Hunan kitchen. I was in the mood for some “dirty” Chinese food. If you were born and raise in New York City like I was then you understand the concept of dirty Chinese food. Sort of this hole in the wall, deliciously sinful tasting Chinese food that’s cheap and quick, the type of food you don’t even want to ask or know how they made it. The food was generally very tasty and good. The price was pretty fair. I also had wonderful experience with the lovely girl who is in the picture peeling the broccoli stems. She was very nice and I can really appreciate the fact that they’re doing that and using fresh vegetables and practicing social distancing as well. It was also nothing to look at in terms of seating but that is typical of an authentic dirty Chinese takeout place. This place definitely will become my staple when I need my fix!
