I can’t wait to go back – such a fun experience! Our GPS directions took us to a completely wrong address, but we called Brews and Mews for help and they talked us thru the right directions. The adorable kitties were happy, comfortable, & very cuddly, the fall coffee was delicious, & the employees were so friendly & helpful. We didn’t have any food there so I can’t comment on that, but they did have a selection of gift items to browse & buy, including yarn & cute cat items. Everything was very clean & well-maintained, & it was amazing to us the cats had a choice of so many enrichment activities, which they actually used! It very entertaining to watch them when they weren’t curled up in our laps. This was the best cat cafe we’ve ever been to – I can’t recommend enough!

First walking into the cat café, me and my partner were tickled by all of the cat-themed decorations and the display window with all of the cats in it! Not to mention, the funny messages on the sandwich board outside of the café.

The two employees present that day were very welcoming and friendly to customers walking in—almost as much as the kittens!

The highlight of the café was definitely the cat room where a handful of pleasant kitties were lounging about. Our personal favorites were “Richard” the kitten and an affectionate shorthair!! Their room is full of access for enrichment, houses to hide away in, and a private space for the cats to feed in peace. It was only $12 per person to enter the room, and the hour you’re allowed with the fluffy babies is an hour you’ll cherish forever!

10/10 recommend. PLUS: The employees wash their hands every single time after every drink made, so you’re ensured a fur-free service. ❤️☺️

I love this place!! They have the best coffee around, and the beans are made locally by Hibriten Roasters.
Even if you are allergic don’t let that stop you, the cats and kittens are in a separate room.
The staff and owner are the best!! Please visit and know that part of the money you spend goes to help cats and kittens in need.

We reserved a time near closing and yet everyone was extremely nice and did not make us feel rushed. They had plenty of toys for the cats and the play room was extremely clean given it’s a room full of cats and kittens. The coffee was good! Did not get a chance to try any pastries. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get a personalized experience before adopting or anyone in the mood for caffeinated cuteness

Brews and Mews Cat Cafe was a wonderful experience. There is plenty of seating, and it is a great spot for kids seven and up. The drink menu has a nice variety. We tried the hot chocolate and a mocha latte, both delicious. The gift shop is fun, with yarn for crocheting, unique pins, and other cute items. The staff was friendly and took the time to introduce us to each cat. All of the cats were gentle and social, happily coming up to my children for pets and playtime. There are lots of toys to keep the cats entertained, and you can even see them through the windows as you walk by. The whole place has a cheerful, welcoming feel and is very clean.

Good coffee, friendly staff and super cute kittens. I forget how many thousands of cats these folks found homes for, but the number was impressive.

The cats alone would make it 5 stars but the drinks and service are really top notch too. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the drinks are fun and tasty! I personally recommend the Doodle or the Nudacris though there’s plenty of other yummy drinks.

Visited Brews and Mews for the first time with a friend recently and it won’t be our last! We ordered coffees from the sweetest barista then drank it at the bar overlooking the cat room. It was so special to watch the kittens play with each other and the cats lounge around. There were so many unique signs and touches around the cafe that made us laugh. Wish we’d found Brews and Mews sooner! Looking forward to bringing more friends/family back in the future!

Absolutely LOVE this little cafe. I’m not usually one to write reviews, but given the recent bad publicity I wanted to show the owners that there are some of us who love y’all and appreciate having you around. Everyone there is very kind and respectful, the food and drinks are delicious & the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. What more could a customer possible ask for??

To the owners/ staff: please ignore the hate that’s been stirred up by one woman’s sense of entitlement. You guys go above and beyond to give exceptional service. Those individuals leaving non-constructive negative reviews aren’t people you’d want in your cafe anyway. THEY don’t know the definition of southern hospitality and it shows. You guys are doing everything right. Keep up the good work!!!

I’ve gone to Brews & Mews many times, and every single visit reminds me why this place is a golden space for our CLT community. From the warmth of the staff, to the cozy atmosphere filled with friendly cats and cats the comforting coffee scent, it always feels like a home away from home. The staff genuinely cares, not only about the drinks they serve, but about the well-being of each cat and their rescue success. Their “Coffee, Cats & Community” motto truly shines.

It hurts me to see the recent outcry about their restroom policy. I understand how people, especially those faced with urgent needs, might feel frustrated. But I know firsthand that this is a small, caring business doing their best to balance safety, cleanliness, and fairness. Policies like “restrooms for paying patrons” are sadly necessary for small, rescue-oriented venues; they help keep the space safe and sustainable.

If you care about supporting community-focused small businesses, please don’t let social media define your view of Brews & Mews. Visit. Grab a coffee. Cuddle a cat. Smile. And see for yourself.
